I think a fast paced 2m is the one for him however it would be tough to say whether his better form over hurdles was over 2 or 2.5

I didn't like that at all. He clearly has an engine but he looked far from natural at his fences. One to avoid for me.

Andy Dufresne - Breeding strongly suggests a trip for me.
I'd ignore the trip today as he was just getting a run.

Although Gordon thinking Battleoverdoyen needs dropping back to 2 miles might skew this thought process a bit.

Any news on Epsom Du Houx? Looked a really awful fall.

Just seen Racing TV have tweeted to say the horse is up ok! Great news. Have to say I’m incredibly surprised though. The horse was doing that horrible thing they do where they shake their leg upon hitting the deck. Glad he’s ok.

He was a bit novicey over 1 or 2 fences but this was his first outing? He won going away, eased down in a time by far the quickest over 2m on course today. As a first outing I really can’t see what there wasn’t to like.

I am with you here OW. Was a positive first run back. We just don't know how good this lad could be but the noises from the stable have always been positive. Gordon took the slowly slowly approach missing Cheltenham last year so I am hopeful there will be plenty of scope for progression this year.

Does anyone think that they'll potentially skip Cheltenham again and wait for Aintree/Punchestown. If they feel he's better off over Marsh distance I can't see them taking on Envoi with him.
