Perhaps something like....

      JP McManus
      Supreme - Flinteur Sacre
      Ballymore -
      Albert -
Mares Novice - Gypsy Island, Fructine
      Mares Chase: Dame de Compagnie
Churdle - Buveur D’Air, Epatante, Saint Roi
      Stayers - Sire Du Berlais
Arkle - Elixir D’Ainay, Andy Dufresne, Unexcepted
Marsh - Chantry House, Sporting John
      RSA - Dickie Diver
      National Hunt - ???
Champion Chase - Le Richbourg, Defi Du Seuil
      Ryanair - Fakir D’Oudairies
      Gold Cup - Champ

Others - Dlauro, Blue Sari, Gentleman De Mee
Just wonder if Defi might be better over Ryanair trip , not totally convinced he a two miler.

                Handicapper: Janidil

Not sure where Andy Dufresne would slot in.

You would have to be mightily impressed with unexcepteds jumping. I know the de bromhead horse pulled up with heart issues and he didnt beat much in the end but we know unexcepted has a engine from hurdles and if he continues jumoing like that there wont be many that will make ground on him over a fence.

I think you need to have a good deal of class to win the RSA rather than just being a four stayer.

There has been some dour winners though Mom.

who's classy and who's dour in that lot ?
Suppose it depends on how you define class and dour though really ?

I thought he was safe enough but far from fluent. That was a slight negative for me, although I am nitpicking.

                            Roll on March.
Plenty of time to iron out a few flaws in his jumping but a good performance.

I’m very tempted to start getting properly involved in all three I like and if they all got beat, take the hit. Never want a race like the four miler to be a big race for my week but, unless The Big Getaway or something of that class was to turn up, I fail to see anything that will beat the trio of Dickie Diver, Galvin or Five O Clock. Those three against the field, all at big prices could be the way to go now and just keep hammering them until they’re all 6/1 co fans in February

But if Five O Clock is a dour stayer, like I suggest he is, the four miler is still the race for that.

Dour Stayers ALWAYS win the NH Chase. Always. Without fail. That’s the idea of a 3.6 mile race. The RSA often is won by a stayer with a touch of class. Like Might Bite and Champ for example. Both had class. Obviously there’s exceptions such as Don Poli who stays all day but in general, if you’ve got a horse who’s good but is a proper stayer, the four miler is the way to go in my opinion

There are more dour stayers in that list from Quevega than not.

Why is Five O’Clock such a dour stayer with no class? He managed to win over 2m last season.
