All by the same trainer too. If it is with 365 atleast you could get out of it later in the season.

Iv happily backed asterion forlonge as I personally think its telling that the winter bumper horses are back in now and they were waiting for schooling of which he obviously left patrick with a good impression for Willie to even think about him.

But i couldn't have the other 2 atm as energumene, the previous handler already said he's a stayer and dosent have as much pace as sebastapol who pretty much just bombed. Seems to be in the old clichet of a staying chaser for the future rather than a bumper horse. But time will tell.

And mt Leinster as he mopped up against summer bumper horses and was talked up at the time where he was owned by his wife, and very much for sale. At that stage the winter bumper horses haddnt been asked much and had a schooling bumper yet. So he's the only bumper horse they could really talk about.

      Hollowgraphic last year.

Buy yesterday He would never normally be at chelt. Just the off chance he was accepting an award the same day In which the bumper horses were out working, Patrick had seemingly reported back to him about asterion forlonge. So seemed an off the cuff question and answer.

I remember Patrick mentioning Hollowgraphic early season but not Willie. Saying that, I struggle to remember yesterday’s results let alone whether someone mentioned a bumper horse a year ago

Haha I do remember Willie. And in the rp tour.

But i also remember admiral chief a few years ago. Although think he was asked which young horse catches your eye in the mornings and was very early.

Envoi Allen entered up on Friday for Gordon, he looks a particularly interesting prospect.

He’s my early pick for this but I have conflicting thoughts as to whether he would be aimed at Cheltenham if good enough. On one hand he’s owned by Cheveley Park so they will probably want him to run at the big UK festivals. On the other hand, he looks really talented and Gordon might want to look after him for next season as he could be very special and the Cheltenham bumper is not always the best race for horses that need minding a bit.

Could be a hot contest if a few of the good ones line up, Column Of Fire & Midnight Run (full brother to Carefully Selected) also entered up...

Malone Road also entered for Elliott and Cheveley and he fetched a similar price to Envoi Allen.

i personally think that Cheveley Park will be keen for runners at the Festival and there would be a big chance that he will run, if he proves good enough.

Based on them buying horses to run in the Grand National last year, it seems like they are not necessarily playing the long game. It also appears money is no barrier either as they paid out for two of the expensive PtP purchases this year.

Never once hit the winner in this race, so here's one to avoid. I've had Interconnected added to the market at 50s with paddys. Record purchase for a British pointer, he's gone to Grech and Parkin, trained by henderson. Was impressive in both points (romping it on debut until he fell) and is also in the market for the supreme at 50s. However Grech and Parkin confirmed on twitter he'll remain in bumpers this season... no idea if he'll take in this race but at the price and given his profile and connections thought it worth a little punt

The only downside is Henderson really hates running horses in the Bumper. He did however run Claimantakinforgan for the same owners so you could have a lively one still.

Got stung by that last year as well with Gallahers Cross. Definitely no more than 50/50 he would line up, but hoping he might be fairly forward... someone obviously fancied him for the supreme this year

I was looking at getting Joseph O’Brien’s ‘Midnight Run’ onboard when I saw him entered up for the bumper a Down Royal earlier in the week. I see he’s not been declared and Gigginstown have snapped him up since his win at Galway last month! That’s put me right off if I’m being honest I know they aren’t too keen on running there promising juveniles across the sea for the most part.

As I touched on in the Albert Bartlett thread he’s a full brother to Carefully Selected, the 2nd foal out of Knockamullen Girl. Showed a nice turn of pace in his last run to win like a good one. Not surprised the O’Learys snapped him up. I presume the Dams stock will be hot property with her first two foals showing such promise in bumpers.

I know Felix Desjy ran this year but would Gigginstowns reluctance to target the Champion Bumper put off anyone else?

Joseph O’Brien ATR Stable Tour (prior to change of owners)
“He won a bumper at Galway in good style. He has the option of going over hurdles now, but we might just stick to bumpers with him for the time being, as he’s only a four-year-old and he could do with a bit of time under him.”
