Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Do you know, I very nearly commented about Elliott's numbers in the UK so far and wondered whether he'd have a go at the UK title! Wish I'd actually said it before reading this article.

“Every day of the week he is going to be a stayer. He is a chaser and will be a staying novice hurdler for this season.”

      Tornado Flyer

“He can go up to two and a half miles, and if he is good enough to be a Ballymore horse, he can go to two-mile-five. He should be good enough for that. He has the speed to be a two-mile novice hurdler, but we will see when he goes jumping what he is able to do.”

      Blackbow

“He looks every inch a chaser. He looks like a staying novice chaser, or hurdler for this year. However, he is by Stowaway and his racing attitude means he will be probably be better off over two miles for the time being.”

I have backed Tornado Flyer today at 25/1 for this race.

I had him and Blackbow as my most likely two for the race and the comments above are enough to get me to part with some 'hard-earned' for now.

A riskier bet than most I've placed so far but as I have previously mentioned, he is the highest rated bumper horse Mullins has ever had so I think 25/1 is worth a strong look.

        • Followed you in on that one Kev with 365 and the cash out option. Also couldn't resist the Mullins novice hurdle trixie with Annamix and Carefully Selected

Yeah I have an e/w trixie on that from about 10 days ago (and also had the same with Blackbow - Ballymore a week before that)

All speculative at this stage though

I know quite a few lads who had the Vautour, Faugheen and Briar Hill Trixie on from a fair way out. There was plenty of excitement that Friday morning.

Good luck RC and Kev.....I might do the same bet too.

I had that bet but only in a treble from a few weeks out, and I let it ride but had a saver bet on Deputy Dan (not each way). Didn't go to plan.

It's the hope that kills you Quevega

Briar Hill never really recovered from that fall either.

Shame, I remember backing it at 25-1 to win bumper - Mullins - Walsh - Wylie ??
couldn't believe the price on the day.
Was in a bar in Tenerife with loads of Irish lads. Now that was a good way to watch cheltenham, sat in the sun watching them take frost covers off.
(I'd recommend it but getting bets on was difficult, apart from the illegal bookie in corner of the bar)

Went with three other lads purposely to watch cheltenham, hired a villa and all that.
days with no internet on phones, and internet cafes not allowing access to betting site caused a bit of a problem. Had to call home every day to my mates son (aged 14) getting him to log on to betting sites and place bets for us all.
He's at University now doing a Maths degree. I'm sure this helped him.

Did Tenerife in 2017 & 2018, and a great way to watch Cheltenham. Could access my desktop from out there, so no problem getting on for everyone.

Go for breakfast in Adeje, watch all the racing at the villa, spend the afternoon chilling in our pool or hot-tub, and head out for dinner/drinks at night.

I've never thought about hiring somewhere for Cheltenham.... It isn;t the same as being there but I do feel like I miss out on a lot while I am there!
