I thought it odd that Angels Breath was taken out of Chelt for the ground think this entry goes a long way to explaining why.

It's a well known supreme route for hendo.
2017 - Claimantakinforgan (won it) & Slate House ran in it, both readily beat at the festival, though Slate House did fall, he was behind at the time.
2016 - Keep In Line finished 3rd in it and got stuffed by Wholestone in the Neptune, Thomas Campbell finished 5th @ Ascot then 5th @ the festival in the Martin Pipe.
2015 - Yanworth, the last horse to do anything of note after competing in the race, won @ Ascot before finishing 2nd in the Neptune, Charbel was in 2nd @ Ascot but was stuffed by Altior (no surprise) in the Supreme that season.
2014 - L'ami Serge won the race then got smashed by Douvan at the festival, Killultagh Vic finished 2nd to L'ami Serge @ Ascot but did win the Martin Pipe that season.
2013 - Irving won the race then got hammered in the, you guessed it, Supreme, by Vautour, Splash Of Ginge 3rd to Irving @ Ascot, hammered in the same Supreme.
Seems like it is one for horses that go further than the Supreme.

People were saying same dort of thing last year bout the tolworth and look what happened.
Think this stat means very little other than previous winners haven't proved good enough or turned up come March.
It's just what it is, nothing more

I guess it depends how you view each race, and although I have only had a look at the history of the Kennel Gate today I can't see a positive view on it for the Supreme as of yet. I will keep an eye out for one's like Angels Breath who may well step up in trip after this though.
