    • What makes you think that Q?

      • I put a short note in Bartlett thread after it won today.
Obviously I watched the race and was impressed, but that race at Ffos las is usually for staying types, I think it was heavy in places today as well and it just struck me as being a strong stayer and for the Ballymore you usually need a bit of speed. Most of horses in behind looked staying types also (breeding etc).
Could be proved wrong of course.
couldn't see it priced for bartlett earlier but just looked and it's 33s best price with 365.
I've definitely got it on my watch list though as it looked good and the trainer liked it (although he is prone to over enthusiasm)

        • WG is indeed but he was glowing, visually looked to have some speed so thought ballymore personally

Like I said I could be wrong, and when I say no chance that just means I wouldn't back it for the Ballymore. It obviously has a chance (at least some sort)
But, as food for thought, and in comparison, and I know the ground and course was different, but the two horses that ran today at Ascot (didtheyleaveyououtoo and Thomas Darby) showed real pace to my eye, and both have been backed for this, and I would say they are likelier types with more speed for sure.

I thought Emiton looked more of an AB horse. Ffos not a track for speed horses Imo.

First Approach runs at Navan. Brace Yourself runs in the Royal Bond. He's the Ballymore horse for Meade imo. FA going for the Potato race if he's good enough. Time will tell.

                • Seven De Baune won in a canter today, beating a previous winner, but getting weight.

Another one for the Thomas Darby form book too. Not sure what to make of SDB, but given connections had strong horses in the novice department last season it is probably one not be overlooked. Next entry/run will determine more, as besides his market rival there wasn't a great deal in that race today.

Also a boost for Samarquand, whose form from his bumper and now his hurdles debut have been boosted. Unsure where they'd go with him though, maybe the Bartlett? Looking at the breeding 3m would probably suit.

Edit: Just taken a bit of a flyer and had 1pt e/way @ 56.25/1 boosted with Hills for Samarquand.

                  • I'm liking these bold moves by 365 to get the cash out money. DK out to 33s for this. He's not one for me , but if you fancied him before you wouldn't be distraught with that over 2m.

This one they may well be right, but
They're going to make some mistakes doing this . Especially when down the line one gets beat by a very good one and they're going for different races
Ie the novice chase on Friday.

                    • I'm looking forward to the Royal Bond on Sunday.
Lets hope several of the potential stars run. Im looking forward to seeing either Dream Conti or Brace Yourself, or both from the Meade yard.

They look like they got Quick Grabim wrong at 50s in the Supreme after his defeat

365 seem about the only ones content on moving prices out by a fair bit, also, for whatever reason, have gone 9/1 Annamix, so are stand out, not saying that it's a good bet, but they seem to be making a better effort to keep prices competitive than most.

With prices and the cash out function, I think it's clear that 365 want to keep the Cheltenham ante post punter in their portfolio

                              • Alighted runs tomorrow for Joseph O’Brien in the first at Punchestown. He looks like the Gigginstown second string based on silks and jockey bookings. Although he’s over 2m tomorrow, I think he’ll move up to this trip in the future and will remain on my watchlist for now.
