Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Soft ground will certainly help Battleoverdoyen.

I agree, and against KD if it gets very soft on his french form.. if the ground came up soft I would put KD in the supreme..

Fair to say that KD was only ever coming here if the ground was good ish - that is, and has always been, unlikely.

          A sweepingly unsubstantiated statement

Oh yes Lloydy. I read the article and didn't think about it.... but I like it.

23.75/1 with NRNB (BV) would be my play though - the risk of injury and very slight chance Honeysuckle goes Ballymore would stop me betting the 26/1 as only a couple of pts in it.

I like Battleoverdoyen anyway, and would get me on Honeysuckle who I've 'missed' prices on.

I want to agree with this but it's not substantiated by any racecourse evidence or his breeding. He's a full brother to Swordsman who ran his worst race on heavy ground and then ran on nothing worse than yielding (winning his only race on good) His half sister Treacle Tart won 4 times; never on anything worse than good to soft and ran poorly several times on soft. His sire (Doyen) despite being out of Sadler's Wells has produced horses who are seemingly much better suited to good and better ground; Doyen, in his racing career, recorded his best performances on fast ground (including a win on firm ground at Royal Ascot) Of course, we won't know until he runs on softer ground but, as of now, there have to be concerns.

                  • Feels like a weak renewal for me, no superstar like the 2017 renewal which lends itself to an outside

I have Champ in an antepost acca, but form line appears to be weak and really dont fancy a handicapper coming here. I agree he'll go off much shorter, he'll be on the front pages and with those gold and green colours to go with his name, the average punter will be trying to win some 'easy' money, which brings me onto my 'monye back if favourite wins' bet

EASY GAME - I love the Wicklow Bloodstock colours, and have had some luck following them in handicaps at the festival, and this one will be in my tracker for some time. Loved the way he travelled in his last two races, and with a stronger gallop I think he could be deadly with his turn of foot in this race

33/1, boosted on hills - I'll take the risk and go in without NRNB. Ruby has jumped on several times and so has Townsend who I think will have a good festival.

Young horse, may be a bit too much for him this year. Would be nice to be right and pick out a shock win, but I can see this fella winning at the festival - and hopefully at a huge price as he gone's unnoticed

                    • Easy Game and Allaho have been nibbled. KD is weak. Maybe they've seen sense.

KD weak as left in the Supreme maybe? And perhaps people think that means something?

                        • Any love for Sams Profile? Ran a good race behind BOD at Naas when he was bumped around a few times. I think he could be value.

                          • Massive Value in Sams Profile, the trainer knows the time of day when he thinks he has a good one.

                            • If Russell rides Angels Breath reasonable possibility that Galvin will be his ride here. Has ridden plenty for Dai and Ronnie.
