    Faugheen ran over 3m

In all seriousness, if himself and allaho are going to lose there novice tag it's going to be in a graded race. There's nothing over 2 1/2. So I wouldn't rule it out just yet.
I really don't want another runner in the bartlett so I am speaking with optimism , but I think theres is unbias sense to it.

There’s a grade 3 over 2m 4f at Thurles in a fortnight, Blow By Blow won it last year. Only leaves you 3 weeks prep for the festival however.

Who’s your current main fancy in the AB?

Easy game if he ran. Which might sound strange as my others much shorter than him in the betting.

I’ve backed Easy Game for the Ballymore , do you think he’ll improve again being upped in trip ?
With Rhinestone running so well LTO I’m surprised at the odds still available
            Have I missed something?

Perhaps people don't think Rhinestone ran his race that day in the Grade 2, or they're looking at how close Getareason was (2L) behind and using him as a form guide instead?

Rhinestone deffinately diddnt have the opportunity to run his race. He made a mistake and ran into trouble. However i think easy game is perfect for this race. He showed everything last time to me. Was stuck in traffic and in trouble himself, but came through, going away at the line. It's always a rough race in the bartlett.

                • Commander Of Fleet a sea of blue on Oddschecker for this.

Not surprising really, suspect he will go very close myself, and the most likely winner for me now.

                    Hope you’re right COD
Took 12/1 Any Race and DRF double and after Scooby’s comments have added Easy Game as cover having bet it already for Ballymore

I'm on him 'any race' too, but feel obliged to get involved on him for this race, all NRNB of course.

That was a solid race LTO, probably the best of the Irish form for this race, and I can only hope they want to avoid Battleoverdoyen too.

The more I look at the race and the potential contenders the more I am seeing COF as an incredibly strong bet myself.

Re Rhinestone are you referring to Nathaniel Lacey as thought that a good run
                        First 2 pulled 6 lengths clear in a Grade1
                        Rhinestone ew play?
                        Big question is BattleOD?
                        Here or Bally?

                          • Gordon Elliott in the Racing Post

Who are your big fancies from among the novice hurdle brigade?

Gordon Elliott: I like a couple of our own horses – Battleoverdoyen, who won a Grade 1 at Naas last month and who goes for the Ballymore, and Commander Of Fleet, who won a Grade 1 at Leopardstown last week. He goes for the Albert Bartlett.

I’m looking to make a case against COF and finding it difficult, the deeper you delve the stronger COF looks.
