Back the only grade 1 winning hurdler in the field
Lalor wins the Arkle.
A no bet race for me now but I probably agree with this.
That plus for me the head of the market all look to ideally want further (Glen Forsa, DdG, Hardline, Kalashnikov)
It's not a huge negative wanting further but I do feel it may well come down to keeping it simple like you say,
The only grade 1 hurdler and one of the few true 2 milers in the field
I hope so Kev, I have him at 50/1 so it would make my Tuesday an amazing one.
I like Glen Forsa but this is an afterthought due to all the drop outs and I feel hes just a very good handicapper.
I also have Lalor at all odds for this...but even I'm getting a touch concerned by all the rain that's coming as I know they are thinking currently they will pull him out with any heavy in the going description. I didn't see that as a possibility and as I have said previously...personally I would run him no matter what as I think he is classy enough and may never have a better chance at the festival.

There is absolute no chance there is going to be HEAVY in the description?!
I no I haven't paid much attention to the weahter thread, but Heavy? Just no way is there?!

we've had loads of rain the last few days, and its all dried out very quickly. Even if we do get the amount that is forecast tuesday morning, it will be fresh unraced ground that wont have opened up. Vastly different to what it was as Sandown where they had raced the previous day

Extremely good point...plus as I have said previously I rather think the Sandown race came too soon after the Cheltenham run...with that being more the reason for the run than the ground necessarily. Also he is definitely a better horse in the spring in my humble opinion.

I know...but I just want him to be the horse that Richard Woolly always said he would be. I just can't forget how excited he was after schooling him over fences for the first time...I think I should just relax and let the horse do the talking

Totally agree on the Sandown race coming too quickly. The Open meeting form is by far the best on offer in this race and his jumping was great that day. I very much doubt it will be too soft for him; after he won his Wincanton bumper (on heavy) Richard Woollacott said this:
"I think Lalor is quite nice because he's a big, weak, unfurnished horse. He might run with a penalty, but wouldn't run on anything quicker than good to soft"
The way the season has panned out he has to be my worst ante post bet that is actually running. He'll probably go off bigger than what i backed him as well.
