Glen Forsa the pick for me in what looks a pretty competitive race. Lalors round of jusmping at Cheltenham last time was superb but then ran a shocker at Sandown which is enough to put me off. Glen Forsa has been a model of consistency and I went in on him after he absolutely smashed Kalashnikov (like many others on here I’m sure).

Seems to confirm this is purely about the owner.

In a weak renewal, will it pay to just back the "best" horse? and isn't Lalor just the clear
"best horse in the race"
Grade 2 bumper winner (Aintree festival)
Grade 1 novice hurdle winner (Aintree festival)
Grade 2 novice chase winner (Course and distance)
Nothing else has that kind of 'back-class' for want of a better phrase. I'm seeing him getting crabbed more and more and ultimately, I fancied him before all the good horses came out, and he's the only good'un left.
I know others look better chasers and they've improved on thier bumper/hurdles form - I know that, but it's an angle that I haven't heard mentioned in his defense yet.

Frank Hickey made an interesting point the other day that he ran 3 weeks after that amazing performance in Cheltenham in November. Hickey suggested that was too quick and the average horse should be given 6 weeks to recover after a race.
With Defi being fave in the JLT, you'd have to say it's the best piece of form going into this race

It's already an incredibly poor Arkle, so if he pulls out it has to go down as one of the worst in history, with regards to quality runners, obviously it may still turn out to be a great race on the day.
