  • If getabird wins this for the front on the bit. What price is he for the arkle??

    I'll hazard a guess at 6/1

In a small field dictating from the front. You'd be a brave man.

          I'm not being serious.

I'm on him with 365, cash out makes it a no brainer.

          • He will no doubt hose up in Ireland, but absolutely couldn't have him on my mind at the Festival. Course form is very important to me.

            • Agree with you CCM- the only thing that makes him backable is the fact Cilaos Emery is still not entered up and Getabird might end up no.1 for them....Might be worth backing him for this reason alone!

Agreed. Once bitten, twice very, very, shy indeed!

                • I think the point possibly, is that you back him pre-race and then take a point of view after, when his odds have most probably shortened.

                    Don't tell everyone

If you've already took the 20s with cashout. . There's no way you can lose. He'll never be bigger than 20/1

                    • Anyone think Lalor could actually run this weekend?

Yes indeed. Made this point on another thread earlier.

I think he will run purely as they said he is exceptionally well. Always makes sense to be guided by the horse and there aren't that many options for him.

                            • I hope Lalor wins and hoses up. Really looking forward to that race.

He has to win for this race to remain on the agenda IMO. looking at the potential line up he could end up refacing 3 horses we know he can beat anyway. Diakali got lucky LTO (and I was grateful as I was on that day), but he will set a very strong pace for anything in behind that is good enough.

Pacific De Baune is still readily available @ 33/1 for this race and he won't be that if he somehow beats Lalor, something he shouldn't be doing really though.
