Kind of wish I took a chance on kalashnikov at a bigger price
I might even cash out

I just can't buy that Draconien is Mullins Arkle horse, it just doesn't sit right with me, to be fair I thought the same about Footpad last year before Christmas. I could be way off here but I went back to the drawing board last night to have a think about who it could be if it is not Drac.
When asked last year who was his best novice chaser (not that they were a great bunch) but Ricci said "Chacun Pour Soi has had his niggles but probably has the best potential." When interviewed by ATR again he was asked about novice chasers, "We've got some to come out, but there's one that I like called Chacun Pour Soi. He was very impressive in France and he could be a novice chaser this year, he's one to keep an eye on." He didn't make it to the track last year, strangely enough he was entered in a handicap in Taunton but never declared, I had thought this might be to get a mark in England and lock in a mark for the festival. I asked Joe Chambers last night and he confirmed the horse is back in Willies. Anyways PP have offered me 66s and 365 33s. I've had one unit at 66s.
The horse finished behind King's Socks (5th in Plate last year off 140) and Optimus Prime (2nd to Footpad in G1 at Punchestown) as a 4 year old that race was in March 16, the horse is still only 6. The horse came from Emmanuel Clayeux who has previously provided Mullins with Great Field and Al Boum Photo, he's also provided festival winner Delta Work to Elliott. Am I mad?

I can't seem to write Laurina off for this race just yet!
I mean Willie said pretty much all last season he can't wait to get her over a fence, so now decides she is going to have a tilt at the Champion Hurdle....seems about right! Also, the 2 main bookmakers, Betfair & PP, that we associate with the Irish contingent have her at 10's for this, this is the only race at least one of them is not top price for her as opposed to the other 2 markets she is in, maybe something in it, maybe just reading a little too much into how much knowledge is passed on by yards to bookmakers etc...
Of course, it's not a strong case for her, because of what Willie has now come and said about her, but right now I would not put this race out of the question, based solely on that!

I was all aboard the VDF train however after reviewing I’m happy that I went any race rather than the Arkle.
I would think they will split him and Pingshou, despite Tizzard not naming Pingshou instead saying they will split Lostintranslation, VDF and the Russian Doyen.
From Tizzards stable tour
He is a dark horse really and if he stays sound he’s a top class two-mile chaser.

Now I’m not racing to lump on Pingshou unit he is entered in something, but as discussed before the Arkle market will break up again and I see him as a single digit horse

Was hoping for 25/33s given he’s been off for a year

Explains Kalashnikov price somewhat.
It looks the easiest race to narrow down based on stable plans at the moment, aside from left fielders.
There will obviously be some others to come out, but it could also end up a low runner race again.
I'd probably take Mengli out and put DEfi in. Hobbs has got to get his house in order again at the top level at some point.
