Hello Fat Jockeys,

Grade 1 juvenile hurdle winner Saldier.

"I think he is an exciting prospect," he said. "I would imagine even though we don't tend to like running five-year-olds in the Champion Hurdle that would be the path that he probably takes this season.
Same route as Footpad then, perfect for the Arkle/JLT next season, don't mind that, cheers Scooby!

The one we've already backed 28/1 any race and are hoping he's sound.
Unless you mean the new one

I cannot believe Kalashnikov is as low as 6/1 for this race... must be one of the worst antepost prices of all time.

I was rewatching the Supreme the other night (I won't tell you at what hour - big industry awards do, meant I get in super late!) and I didn't notice as I was on Summerville and Kalashnikov, but Mengli Khan wasn't far away there at all. One i Have my eye on for sure

Talking of 'crack' horses, anyone heard anything on Labaik recently?

Over the last nine seasons, Mullins/Henderson/HdB have won it seven times between them with a hatfull of places also.

Just need to nail the three horses they elect to run!

He’s back in light training COD. Champion Hurdle the likely target if he’s ready in time. Few ownership issues to be settled also.

Happy that Willie's comments indicate neither Melon or Laurina will be coming here. Been getting reasonably stuck into Kalashnikov, Paloma Blue and Vision Des Flos (mostly any race), and a bit on Mengli Khan, including plenty of free bets. Will keep eye out for Mullins and Hendo's likely runners and hope nothing from left field throws a spanner in the works although expect Kev to spot the next Saint Calvados nice and early at a big price

Haha you have to remember my 100/1 shot came 4th and Scoobys 25/1 shot came 1st...

so I'd re-read his posts in here and back that one any race.... jack also keen (and goes without saying I am on)

The plan is to go novice chasing with him and he’ll hopefully be ready to start back around mid-to-late November. I’d say we’ll start him off at two miles, but I could see him getting two-and-a-half miles at some stage. I was happy with his novice hurdle campaign last season. I was particularly happy with his run in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. He has the shape and make-up of a chaser, so we’re hopeful that we’ll see the best version of him this season. He took a bit of a grip at times last season, so fences might just settle him down a bit.

Not clear cut though in terms of target. Surprised he has been cut based on those comments to be honest....

Interesting comments on PB and won't be getting involved anymore now the 27.5/1 has gone. At least by starting at 2 miles if he is really top class he is likely to stay there (like Footpad), and if he's not quite good enough (and so is upped in trip) then highly likely wouldn't have won the Arkle anyway
