Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Kalashnikov might have a chance in this now
I must admit I've been against him all year but I'm tempted to back Kalashnikov now at 12s. This is such a poor quality race, didn't lose out too much on LR had him at 18s and in one ante lost Yankee, now only got Lalor covered at 33s so need to cover something else and I'm siding with Kalashnikov.

    • Unbelievable. Went out this morning and some twat reversed into my Merc and fecked off leaving a grands worth of damage - get home to find that was just the tip of the iceberg. A week ago I was in a terrific position and now... not so good. Was messaging about this potentially being the race of the festival with CE and Le Rich having a titanic battle. Wow!
      Okay - Plan D...?

      • I didn't have a bean on LR but feel for those who did. Hopefully we don't get many more absentees.

I hope you catch the arsehole that crashed into your car and dish out a suitable punishment.

I'm expecting bookies giving us 10/1 the field given they've already raked so much cash

                        • Having had time to reflect on the the LR news you wonder what is the point of doing all the groundwork (something I love doing) and ending up like this. J.Harrington stated that they had a real horse for the Pertemps this year, so I waited, and finally she brought it over to Huntingdon for a qualifier, and did the business. Groundwork beginning to look very positive. Last week an update on her stable stars Not Many Left is NOW going to the Coral Cup FFS, thanks Jessie. Thats the 4th defector over the last 10 days. And all those "any race" tickets that were looking so rosy are now.................

You might as well turn up on the day like most morons and pick anything, and then say "I backed that one"

Ah - c'mon - like you say, you love doing the groundwork as I'm sure the rest of us do really, and when we get it right the ups outweigh the downs even if it doesn't feel like it now.

On a more pragmatic level, even if selections go down between now and then, doing all that groundwork means you're far better off on the day than the 'morons' you refer to (even though I think that's probably a bit harsh!).

Unfortunately, that's the dangers of ante post Doc.

You are feeling like I did after If The Cap Fits was ruled out last season, although I'm not sure you were so sympathetic

                                Sympathise with The Doc
He’s researched , followed the horse , not jumped on anyone’s bandwagon and got kicked in the bollocks , like many others who have similar situations.
                                Throw mine in
                                Glen Forsa
Backed at Chepstow Kempton and Sandown ✅
Backed early doors for Clos Bros ( v sizeable bet )
Goes from being too low to being too high for Clos Bros ( done my dough Clos Bros)
Had seen likelihood would beat Kalashnikov so weighed in big on JLT , easy to say now “ why didn’t you cover Arkle?”
Horse had won over 2m4f and 2m7.5f
That’s racing , however today’s news of LR is a ball breaker , especially on top of Cilaos
Ahhh feel a tad better, good to vent
