We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Paloma blue is a horse I asked the question of on here regarding the dismissiveness of his chances. I think more because I've had a niggling feeling that he could run a big race and I fed free bets onto him for a few weeks at between 16's and 25's, even though I pretty much agreed with all the negative comments, but once down the rabbit hole I couldn't back out and I now have him, for my sins, as one of my biggest winners, mad or what? Anyway I don't go to the Arkle with loads of confidence about him, but comments like Davys does give me a little hope.Last edited by MrMcGoldrick; 22 February 2019, 12:18 PM.

I still have absolutely no idea what to do about Glen Forsa.
He'd be such a gigantic kick in the face if he won this race at the moment...
Just watching it back and he just absolutely blasted Kalashnikov. I know I've not rated Kalashnikov all the way through but he's not a bad horse, and he's just crushed him further than you can ignore.
I'm trying to pick holes and I can't find any at all against Kalashnikov.
The 2m4f chase on Boxing Day... he got left in front so had it pretty easy, but he jumps so well at speed that he just took the handicap apart. Glen Rocco did nothing for the form this weekend, and the ground he made up would make me think he's a little more vulnerable if he was in the JLT... but the fact he did win over 2m4f IS a plus for the Arkle too.
The handicap he won before that over 2m7m hindsight shows he was thrown in so won't take too much note of it, but again he led.
Perhaps the ONLY negative is that he has had it pretty easy in front, but Warthog gave him a lead and he was happy enough up alongside him for plenty of it.... but if he doesn't get it his own way in front is he vulnerable?
I don't think so.
I'm really, really impressed with him. I don't know how I'm going to back him, but I really like him

But 7s NRNB BOG seemed a bit too big for this one (not sure I'd be jumping in at 9/2 now - I'd leave until day). Being out front is a good place to be in the Arkle imo, at least if you jump well. There's the chance you put the rest under pressure, and the rest of the market leaders don't necessarily have to make a mistake themselves, but could be hampered by one of the lesser lights in the race.
Funnily enough my only other bet in race now is a free £5 on Knocknanuss at 20/1 NRNB BOG, but after that one's antics in Dublin....

Kalashnikov did not jump one bit, Dell Oro is not a 2miler and was only beaten by Glen Forsa some 8 lengths giving him 11lb's over 2m 4f in the previous race they met, I can't have Dell Oro suddenly being 56 lengths worse than Glen Forsa off levels.
You've made a case about Kalashnikov being a boat for some time, so it surely wouldn't be much of a shock what happened that day?
