Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

      • Great turn of speed after the mistake at the last, put it to bed quite quickly.

Would hate to be Elliot trying to figure out who goes where!

            • Surprised at all the positivity around Delta Work. He was no more than adequate.

You can't knock anything he's done today but equally that wasn't an impressive debut.

The fitness of Elliott's horses would give you good reason to believe he'll be better next time.

I'm happy to be on him still but watching his debut I wouldn't + am not in a rush to 'top up'.

I have only watched it on my phone live though so need to watch again

Agreed Kev. I wasn't impressed and felt similar after Blow By Blow's seasonal debut. Early days but plenty to work on.

                  • 2m 3f chase debut for a horse expected to compete staying chases was never going to see DW at his best today, I still think he's a 4 miler horse.
He cantered quicker than the rest, was last off the bridle but it took him all of the straight to get on top, this has to be expected.
                    Good reappearance for me...

Exactly my impression, happy with that as an opener

                      • Having watched it back I thought Davy gave him a good ride, he got a bit tight to some fences but was clever throughout and clearly the trip was a tad on the short side. Davy looked shattered coming back in!! I'd say it was workmanlike - very much a job done, move on kind of run but I certainly was hoping to see a little more from him. If you were to watch that race, with no history of what DW achieved last season i'm not sure you'd be rushing to back him for any race though...

But his run today reminded me of Death Duty's chase debut last year actually. Death Duty improved bundles for his next run and i'd be hoping and expect to see a similar improvement in this case.

Elliott has said the Drinmore could be next (2m4) for him which suggests he's clearly right up there in the pecking order still for the novice chasers. Still absolutely an 'Any Race' play though I feel especially after today.

Agree with this .,Apart from ..being a 4 miler horse , only because of G.E's stable tour comments.,
Still think it will be R.s.a chase ??.

If the Drinmore is the plan then I can't see the 4 miler being likely but of course that could easily change.

But having now seen Blow by Blow and Delta Work I don't think they've set the bar that high for Champagne Classic and Cracking Smart in the pecking order.

Besides I wouldn't worry too much, we know The Worlds End wins wherever he turns up come March
