Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I thought they were thinking RSA for Vindication - was trying to work out why I had that in my head and think it’s just an accumulation of circumstantial stuff like this tweet from Cornelius Lysght after his last win:

#Ascot: two or three quality performances from horses on an upward curve here; Angel's Breath/Danny Kirwan (1-55) & still-unbeaten #Vinndication (2-30); Scilly Isles Nov Ch, Sandown, Feb & RSA Ch, #CheltenhamFestival being mentioned for Vinndication

    • Think the RSA mention was due to a prompt question from someone on RacingUK after his last win CK! I’ve touched on why I see that as unlikely in the previous page of this thread.

Absolutely.... so a train of thought he may as well have a crack at the RSA. See if we have a superstar on our hands?

It's NRNB, it's not a risk whatsoever, if you're right, you're right (and as you'll know from reading the JLT thread, I've been a big Vinndication fan and have backed him JLT at 33s).... but if he does take the unlikely option - he's not going to be 16/1?

You are absolutely right, it is unlikely.... the point with NRNB is about backing horses that are too big if they did turn up... not a safety net if they're injured... or that's the angle I like anyway.

        *******Huge edit......

I see he's only 10/1 NRNB, so ignore what I've said.

I see your angle Kev but Kim Baileys insistence on minding him somewhat is another reason I don’t see him lining up in the RSA. He’d need to be declared for the Reynoldstown for me to change stance.

            What is your stance on...

If he ran in the RSA he'd be shorter than 16/1?

Worst case scenario is, I get my money back?

I haven't done it yet... but you've got until midnight to stop me

            • It’s a shot in the dark that I wouldn’t be willing to take personally in such a strong market! But if you have the cash to tie up knock yourself out

Personally I’ve topped up on the JLT, RSA winner comes from Santini, Topofthegame & Delta Work!

If you didn't have a huge tattoo on your back of Topofthegame, you might like him

To be fair, if you strongly fancy a horse in the JLT, you can't say he'd have no chance in an RSA (I know you aren't saying that).

It's a bit like Monalee last year - I know where I'd prefer him!

I’d like to think I learned my lesson on blindly fancying horse for a particular race without previous form over the distance from Monalee & Supasundae last season. Hence my position on Monalee for the Ryanair. You have to learn from your near misses in the past & use them to your advantage in future in this game.

Did you strongly fancy Monalee in the RSA?

The frustrating thing with Monalee, is that HdB now seems to know what 'we' all knew last year, he'd be better over shorter!

I did & I wrongly disregarded Presenting Percy on the basis he didn’t have the class for the RSA! You need to probably have the stamina to stay 3 1/2 miles on an ordinary track to stay 3m round Cheltenham in hindsight!

I fell into exactly the trap SR. I thought Monalee would have too much class for PP, what a foolish idea that was. Ryanair should be perfect, although I'm not sure his boat hasn't sailed?? I'll still back him......probably.

Same. Big Monalee fan, and he ran great, Percy just ran better.

I was there with my wife on the Wednesday and after the race she said "I didn't understand your reaction"

Apparently as PP loomed up on MOnalee I was like "Oh no", which rapidly turned into "Oh wow!" when he put on a show

                          • Has anyone heard anything about Antey. He's one I had earmarked for staying chases this season, Shady Operator has franked his hurdle form but I haven't seen any entries for him yet.

Getting towards that handicap mark for Glenloe hopefully.

Wouldn't like to guess what CC is going to do
