Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

The opposition are going to run scared. He's just going to have a procession every time he races.
He's beaten the square root of nothing in that race just then.
It remains to be seen what his jumping will be like when he's got someone upsides exerting pressure.
Not sure he'll be able to jump like that in softer ground, he might need it on the better side.
I'd want to see him against proper grade one animals before I think he's the next sprinter sacre.
I've just been possessed by the resident Grouch.

Amazed is an understatement.

On a serious note,
The price drop after today though is for Mugs alone.
It's about the easiest Novice chase I've seen on paper from both sides of the sea this season.
However, I suppose he's alive and well, can jump really well, and has got through a prep run unscathed.
But 7/4, when Willie (alone) has several candidates this year is a joke.
He's got that many, he could form a blockade if he wanted.

Are you a mug, for not taking 5/2 BEFORE you see a novice chaser jump but then backed him at 7/4 AFTER a fantastic display?
I can't help feeling calling someone a mug based on that is unfair.
Obviously to answer, you have to ignore the prices he was before today..... but are you being slightly unfair?
Don't get me wrong, you know I wouldn't be waiting until after a display on such a high profile horse, but I'm more trigger happy than the average bear...

Lovely performance with some very slick jumping. Not likely to meet anything until the fez judging by the crap all English trainers have (Henderson apart). Something from the Emerald Isle will put it up to him come the day, then we'll see how good he is. That said, he could be very good.

Don't understand rest of what you're saying.
Although if it's why I've not backed him yet ?
He's been too short from when I started looking.
I think he's in a multiple somewhere at 7/2, but i'm not a fan of them either as they rarely come in.
Although the more of them you do, and cross breed I suppose you could get a good crop every now and then.

Even though I'd do neither.
I'm saying it's unfair though to say someone is a mug for taking 7/4 after seeing a brilliant performance, than educated guessing at 5/2?
The rest is me just saying I'd not do either anyway, but didn't need saying.
I think you're being a bit mean....

What impact will the scraping of the novice handicap chase have on field numbers? Will a few 140-145 rated horses now take a shot at the Grade 1s, or will we just get more novices contesting the handicaps?
I'd assumed the Arkle and Marsh would be small field events but they may be padded out a little with average horses.
