Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

I do enjoy the WH radio coverage, very entertaining and informative.
With regards to not backing Ballyward because of the Mullins faller stats I should point out that 3 of my biggest single bets last year at the Festival were on Douvan, Al Boom Photo and Invitation Only so I still wear the scars from those bets so after reading the Mullins stat on the numbers & percentage of fallers I’ve steered away from his jump horses this year and focussed on his hurdlers. Ballyward will probably win this race, Mullins did win it last year. If these reasons still make my logic odd then it’s probably because I am bit odd but this is one of the toughest races of the 4 days IMHBEO
All races are available as replays on the SL website:

Results and video replays from meetings including Stratford, Taunton, Plumpton, Newcastle, Caen, Le Mans, Lyon La Soie, Mahoning Valley, Turf Paradise, Will Rogers Downs

If you create an account, click on the blue calender and go back and find the dates they ran. Video is at the bottom.

There is literally no substitute for watching a race.

Yes. and some of those commentators have had a bet, so might give a false impression (can always tell when they have, even on telly)

You do come across a bit quirky, and I think you're probably a bit reactionary in an impulsive manner more often than not (with your punting).

        Am I wrong ?

I've never got the IMHO abbreviation (like I'd ever doubt someone's opinion as not being honest)
I'd disagree and think the opinions may be wrong and ill informed but not dishonest.
        IMHO is humble, not honest

I don’t disagree, I love watching horse racing and dearly look forward to that time in my life when I do get a few hours each day to watch it on tv but unfortunately with a young family and working for the public sector means that I spend most of my week ‘hobbling’ to make up the money I need in life to make it enjoyable.

            Doh !!
            Now I get it
            self admonished for stupidity
No surprise I didn't interpret as humble (self awareness in full effect)

Before you take the time to place a bet, you should take the time to watch at least a horses last race though TKP

                • In my humble but expert opinion!! It’s a joke lads, I’m far from an expert, I’m a social gambler who is still relatively inexperienced with horse racing, it’s still a past time (an expensive one at that!!) You can tell the Festival is getting closer or some of you are on your periods this weekend because it’s getting pretty tense and hostile on this forum.

And yes I am an impulsive gambler, I do indulge and accept other opinions more than my own because I buy into other people’s exp and knowledge but I still to this believe the best betting tool out there is a hunch or a gut feeling.

Nothing wrong with a hunch or gut feeling. But in my experience that comes with years and years of racing.

Lol, if you watched ever race and followed the horses that looked good in handicaps you would go skint pretty quick, the pertemps is one example... it's easy to to pick 20 horses in each race at a good price then lay it off when it flops, then turn around and say I am a pro just because you sit on a nice ticket... but like most gamblers that do it for fun and have a family, watching every race is near impossible.

                        Just had to google that.
                        And you are correct sir.
Too much of an objective thinker for excessive humbleness.
                        Humility's ok though.

                        • Think a few people are getting a bit tetchy
Festival nerves and fear of non runners

That’s just my honest humble opinion

                            I hope you don't think I was having a go ?
                            I wasn't.
Thanks for the explanation on the abbreviation.
                            I obviously struggle with them.
