There is no denying that LIT looks stamina laden, and Tizzard now questioning himself as to why he wasn't entered in the 3m race too (typical Tizzard). DDS has gradually got better over fences as the season has progressed.

We can all say LIT had the beating of DDS that once, but not to forget he was firstly getting 3lbs from DDS and secondly, as many pointed out at the time, Barry pushed the button too soon on DDS, and learnt from his mistake the next time.

I also noted DDS's jumping still not great that last time, the first three fences were pretty poor, no way he goes well in the Arkle IMO, I'd be laying him, and place laying him too. If connections thought he was a 2miler he'd have been over that distance again, and not stepped up after just one try.

I see DDS as very much a travelling horse, partnered with someone like Ruby he'd probably be all the better for it IMO, but Barry will have to do.
Jumping at Sandown hindered LIT, jumped left each throughout and lost ground at each fence.....sort of evens it out. Back left handed as well.......

Connections had their ready made 2miler, so no point trying DDS again over 2miles at that time.

    • There's not much between them it will come down to who jumps best in that match.

I disagree. He jumped 3 or 4 fences to the left (including hindering DDS once), mostly in the latter part of the race when he was tired, his jumping at the beginning was beautiful stuff, compared to that of the clumsy DDS. LIT made his mistakes as the race went on, very lazy, tired jumping.

I don't see them changing distance now, with 2 weeks to go until the festival, makes no sense.

Hope you’re correct and they don’t change , I’ve had enough reacting / adjusting this market
Berry being as cagey as ever

          • I don't particularly care if they change or not. But it's clear why they wouldn't have prepped him as a two miler throughout the season when they already had one which was the point..

              Correct Brian

Fansbets are 13/2 NRNB on DDS which is too big regardless of which side you're on! (Only max £25 so I appreciate not for all)

              • Kalashnikov is now a shorter price for the JLT (24.0) than he is for the Arkle (25.0)... on the exchange...

Not a lot in it, but a glimmer of hope

I’m on him at 28/1 for the JLT and got a chunk on any race - both places months ago. I’d be delighted if he went to the JLT.

                      Same bets I've got.

Three Amigos... Or stooges if he turns up in the Arkle

                          • Camelia de Cotte getting mark of 146,
Cannot see them running in a handicap now as she don't get the 7lb.
Effectively rated 153 which puts her right in the mix in the novice races.
If she's fit I reckon she goes JLT.

                              • Does anyone have a view for this race? It looks utterly awful.

I can’t help but think Master Dino would’ve won this doing handstands. Gutting.

As it stands, LIT is one I want to take on. DDS might switch and his form with LIT ain’t that great anyway imo. Glen Forsa and Kalashnikov will unfortunately go Arkle. Real Steel or Hardline maybe? It just looks so poor.
