They have to offer something different each and every week which isn't ideal.

Agreed completely with what he said yesterday about betting on Ronan McNally, Charles Byrnes etc and the shiskin situation.

Hed put the same horses up everytime he was on
He had about 20 different cliff horses
Hes not quite as forgiving these days

If we’re taking the 16’s on Kilcruit, American Mike etc as examples months in advance, I can only imagine he’ll be doing very much the same.

If he's taken a bigger price earlier, i'm not exactly sure putting up horses much shorter makes sense!?
Either way the way his approach comes across is rather muggy to me, and by the sounds of it so is his daily punting- fair enough though each to their own....Maybe this is GL's lurker account?

Long may he continue to put up average selections. It saves the price on the ones that may be slightly more obvious

Seeing as I get a notification in this 'old 'thread every time someone comments,I'll have my say.
Gavin is obviously no mug. His selections look solid enough. They are almost professional like.
Granted one or two may not be shorter on the day, but you could easily argue they all could be also.
This is not book building and will almost certainly only be 1 per race, aside from the odd race maybe.
Like someone else mentioned. He seems to be going for the ones that have set targets and will be there or thereabouts, based on connections and prep races etc.
You got to be in it to win it.
So for your average punter who likes to follow a tipster then his selections are fine.
He was actually unlucky last year and had several close calls.
