Upping the ANTE vs Kevloaf 2021

Nice selections Kev. What time is the Up the Ante broadcast on Tuesdays? I’m always playing catch up on Wednesday but will plan to listen today

It's never done when I'm on my lunch (midday) and it's usually done when I am back home (5ish), so my guess is 3pm

I'll have Court Maid 11/1 as the other, as I will be backing that myself tonight.

I might even have Five O'Clock as well 25/1 same race, then I've got 3 in the NH chase and I'm hopeful that's the race done.

I have backed Patroclus today at 40/1, he's now 25/1 so the entry has triggered some backing - I still think that's a worthwhile price though for the sake of this competition.



I'll do Five O'Clock next time though so:

Cool Jet - 40/1 - Bumper
Court Maid - 11/1 - NH Chase
Patroclus - 25/1 - Ballymore

Hendo mentioned him in his stable tour:
"A powerful, striking future chaser, he'll be hurdling first and has pace, so I hope he'll enjoy a constructive season. I absolutely love him."

He's entered in the same race Birchdale won (who ended up running in the 'wrong' race because of Champ) and because he's mentioned 'pace' I think this is best guess at the trip.

This isn't a reason for him to be any good, but it'd be nice for those owners to have a good one!

The breeding looks good too, but all credit to JM, as I hadn't heard of him myself this time a week ago (apart from briefly reading him in the stable tour and moving on)

It's a good job people find that show enjoyable, as the tips aren't worthy of the program being aired based on what they've mustered up so far.

Kev - not sure if TWAR bets are allowed in this thread but Patroclus is 33s with Hills TWAR

If Either pick Appreciate It and or Dusart bet365 have alot of explaining to do!! Dusart maybe blue due to the entry on Friday, but alot of blue for AI. Short as 5s with them.

Appreciate It has been shortened a lot in the last 2 weeks and was around 5/1 last week so I wouldn’t have thought it was to do with UTA. Dusart may be more likely but like you say it’s probably due to his next entry this week. I believe David Jennings has 2 picks today on UTA so I wonder what 33/1 outsiders he’s going for this time

Pretty pointless this upping the Ante when we've already backed everything they come up with at bigger odds anyways!
