Upping the ANTE vs Kevloaf 2021

Did they not keep saying 7s, with 6 showing behind them..its a.race.where i like to see a.few.more runners come put, some are not seen to Feb. Have to be impressed with the winner, and missed prices now. But its a race I don't do well at, and I'm really trying not to back anything in this race till next year till I have a firmer view.

I can only assume with that is that it was 7s when they filmed it in the morning. Then when whoever edits the footage checked the prices it had been cut already. Whether the cut is linked to the show I don't know.

Pretty sure.it said that Yalorch, last.week.they said Bet365 would hold prices. That didn't last long.

I’m pretty sure Gavin usually starts wary getting short prices in and then gets abit more left field later down the line.

I really enjoy Up the Ante, very easy watch and think Dermot is a very affable and funny chap. They both keep pulling Dougal reactions from Father Ted which I’m not sure is an in joke and deliberate or a quirk.

When you compare it to the usual stuffy boring horse racing pundits of the past they are much more entertaining. Imagine Up the Ante with Brough Scott and Jim McGrath with special guest Richard Johnson instead!!!! They do move markets but that’s because the show is clearly popular. I like the format too, it’s a nice recap of the week past which many other shows spend very little time covering

I wouldn't recommend following my "tips" blindly on here in this thread....

However, the UTA boys make a profit (as people are so gleeful to point out) but given their tips so far, I'd back myself at favourite to beat them


Not sure if the picking 2 tips a week is in my favour or not so far, I should maybe designate each tip each week against whoever it is, I would start to strategise then... I could put in Saint Roi against GL for 0.5 pts higher

I'll have Court Maid 11/1 as the other, as I will be backing that myself tonight.

I might even have Five O'Clock as well 25/1 same race, then I've got 3 in the NH chase and I'm hopeful that's the race done.

I have backed Patroclus today at 40/1, he's now 25/1 so the entry has triggered some backing - I still think that's a worthwhile price though for the sake of this competition.



I'll do Five O'Clock next time though so:
