They mainly drop on Gavin's picks but definitely. Luckily we have Saxon Warrior 's diary for the upper hand.

Yes, there were monster prices available for those Gavin Lynch picks if anyone wanted them, when we went through the Down Royal 5-Day entries and then the final decs, which suggested both of them were two to consider being involved with.

                    • Yep, solely thanks to Saxon's diary I have a 16/1 AM, 33/1 FD double placed after decs which it's difficult not to dream of coming in now!

                      • Tipping an 11/2 shot 4 months out from Cheltenham on a tipping show is poor, but in the bumper, it's abysmal IMO. Could understand if we were a month out and had a bit more to go on, but thats sloppy from GL. I enjoy watching the show, but I enjoy more seeing the prices people have secured before they tip them.

Can understand the frustration but at the same time he may have bigger prices in his personal bets but they only started airing the show last week, us on here we've had the benefit since the last previous festival, not to mention the fantastic work some do on here, that we can get stuck in way before the show is aired.

If he thinks he's got the winner I'm not sure he'll care much for the price, whether we think the horse is now value or not.

Thinking you have the winner of the bumper in November is pretty mad though?

Quite possibly so Kev, but following a Gordo hype job (at this point of the season) would have won you two of the last 3 bumpers (obviously Sir G ended up being a winner for Willie by the time of festival come around). American Mike also went down the same route as the last of them winners had in starting at Down Royal, so it's been a recent well trodden path.

Can't argue the price thing, but there have been many on here note how poor the bookmakers have been this season.

I'd imagine Gavin will want one in the bumper and the only way American Mike goes bigger is by losing, which I know many on here are hoping isn't the case.

We could all go on saying we got this, this and this at bigger prices but ultimately we've not had to wait until last week to go public about said horse.

Yep. If you asked me now to pick the two toughest races to call a winner in they'd be the Triumph and Bumper, easily.
