Be astounded if he runs in a Ryanair tbh.

The owners will have top notch possibly in the race anyway and Footpad will be aimed at one of the big two - the Champion Chase or the Gold Cup. P

I agree MoM.... I did however find it interesting to hear Daryl Jacob say that he might be stepped up to the Ryanair (on the Sporting Life podcast review).... it was by no means him saying it was his decision or anything like that, but he did literally say the words Ryanair as an option which made me take note.

6/1 WAY too short when its not a likely option but Suede/Munir seem to put their horse in the race it is most likely to win, not the most prestigious for the sake of it? .... and if they have two "best suited" to a certain race they obviously have no problem... (not that it'll be an issue for them in the CC)...

All that said, as an unbeaten two mile chaser, it is unlikely he goes Ryanair without getting soundly beaten and put in his place at 2m first... and the first time he gets beaten over 2m might well be in the CC if he stays in Ireland...

Still not a lot of talk for this yankee.

Strange how the first two weeks of the month seem to get lots of talk for the yankees but in the last week (when the final decisions should be debated), there’s not a lot to go on.

Made me less confident in wanting Identity Thief in this yankee but apart from that, it’s not really affected us. Not much help as you say

I’d say running him 11 days after he was fully primed for Aintree didn’t help. A bit disappointed in Gigginstown for doing that, it was purely done to try and stop Willie.

I would agree with those thinking that Punchy tells us very little regarding Cheltenham, except Faugheen could run in the stayers, or the Gold cup, personally I can't see them sending him chasing at this stage of his life.
I like the look of the yankee as posted, that being
                  Summerville boy, Champ hdle
                  Santini, RSA
                  Samcro, JLT
                  Identity thief, Stayers.
Faugheen was brilliant this week at Punchy but no more so than his first run of the season over 2 miles, he destroyed a good field then and was slashed for the Champ hurdle on the back of it, he hasn't followed up over 2 miles and has been disappointing, so at the current prices he now looks short enough for the stayers to me.
We can include him in a later yankee though if that's what we want, along with Samcro in the Champion hurdle, and maybe Might bite in the GC, but right now this yankee looks to be excellent value to me.

Is the consensus agreed on this ?
                    Happy to add if agreed

I’m happy with that. Though personally I expect IT will be a bigger price at some point in the future for the race.

Anyway, good to get the yankee sorted again.

Within a few days I’m sure we will have to think about the May one.
