Hello Old Vic, remember you from the Glorious Goodwood/Galway Festival team competition of old.Might have to introduce that here next year.

Keep them coming. I would have been rubbish at the Goodwood part of that.

Gentle reminder, it would add an edge to the competition if person or persons would club together to put up a prize of say cash or betting vouchers for the winners and top scoring Dark Horse. In another world it used to be ?100 and ?50 but I appreciate the unusual circumstances we are in this year.If "sponsors" materialise I'll leave it at three teams per entry, but if we end up just playing for the craic and boasting rights I'll probably cut it down to one or two teams each.I have a list of horses ready and it's just a question of whether I leave it until post racing Saturday to have a definitive list or go for it earlier bearing in mind it is possible to change a team up to the cut off point.which will be mid-day on Friday 13th.

Let's see if we receive any offers today first and thanks for giving me an idea of entries, getting close to 30 now.

Just an idea DG.....if at least 30 of us pay a fiver each to enter one team you will have the 150 quid prize fund you suggest.

If more than 30 enter maybe the extra cash could provide second/and or third place prizes.

No objections here what do others think ? Not sure on the practicality of arranging collection of ?5 from everyone though.When you see the list you may want more than one go at picking a team though

On my previous forum (on a previous version of the board Fat Jockey use now) we got as far as devising a way to insert a Paypal button but never trialled it as a couple of people came up with sponsorship, would depend on us all having a Paypal account I guess.plus can't be sure it would work on this newer version board.

Just to add that, in addition to Cadmium, I lost my brother yesterday. As next of kin and executor, I'll likely be reading and contributing less over the next few days but I thought I'd get this offer in so that DG can proceed as he sees fit.
