I can’t help but feel that the 7s about Royal Kahala NRNB is cracking value. She beat a good field LTO and made Hook Up look ordinary - that mistake at the last didn’t affect the result in my view.
If she wins or even runs Gauloise close on Monday, her odds for this should come down. If she doesn’t, she probably misses the festival heading to Punchestown instead perhaps.
Trying to think of a related double but can’t so will keep it as a single.
100% agree - one of the best NRNB bets out there.
she wins Monday she’s 2s and if she doesn’t I doubt she will be going as they haven’t been mad about going until now have said she probably wouldn’t go
Considering the race looks exactly the same as the one that was cancelled, and Royal Kahala and Gauloise flip flopped last week.
I'm surprised the bookies priced them up the same, although this may be on the back of Dublin I suppose.
Anyway, they're back to square 1 again now with Kahala backed into Favourite.
The smart move would be for me to cover and bet Royal Kahala for March but I just can't see Gauloise getting beat today so I'm going to go with Mullins handing out one more pre Fez AP present before shutting up shop for 40 days. She could be the next Honey in the making........
With Willie's novice mares falling by the wayside this season, with only Gauloise left standing (Hook Up did improve at the weekend although was soundly beaten by RK TLD), I've looked back through his previous quotes and stable tours for the season to see if there are any mares mentioned that may turn up first time at Cheltenham (like Concertista and Eglatine Du Seuil), with the view to see if I could get a NRNB price on them.
From my research could only find one that he previously mentioned that hasn't run yet. So I looked here up and she's owned by JP now and has 5 career runs in France (all in bumpers) winning the last 4. The horse in mention is Harmonie Star.
The quote which I found from Willie in his RP stable tour at the start of the season was 'She looks a top bumper performer in France and is a very nice recruit to the yard. She'll probably emerge in the second half of the season over hurdles.'
One to keep an eye on. I don't really want to request a price as of yet as it may get the bookies to issue a sub par price and ruin the market with other bookies going forward.
