Laurina - 14th December
Concertista - 19th November
Let's Dance - 19th November
Eglantine Du Seuil - ran in August and September, then won in March

Hard to get away from SWIW on what she has done on the clock and visually.
Interesting how she gets on this weekend if the likes of Ballyadam turn up, to beat her with the allowance will take a monster performance if she runs to her previous.

There have been just as many winners of the race to have started their hurdling campaign in August (like SWIW did) as there have been winners of the race starting their campaigns in December or January. Starting off in November (Gjoumi, Hook Up & Gauloise all hold entries this week) is the strongest trend, but even so, it is massively flawed by the lack of data available.

Some football managers do it regarding their injured players but they at least get questioned on it and the reporters, report that the manager didn't answer or avoided it.
In racing, we just get silence.

As an owner, I don't give a flying ferret about punters who have taken a view on no information. However, I do like to keep people up to date if I'm asked a question or where the last information might be seen as no longer current. It's why I tried to be straight about Robin De Carlow earlier in the year.Last edited by archie; 24 November 2020, 12:35 PM.

It's misleading to withhold information on what is one of your (if not the) most high profile horse.
Nice to know you don't give a flying f*ck, even with that attitude though, if you were being interviewed, would you have bothered to mention the horse? I think you would...

2. It is not misleading to withhold information. Not answering a non-existent question is withholding nothing. Many syndicates have a confidentiality agreement which is why I'm careful about what I say. With JP, Fahey might be under instructions but who knows.
3. Most of these stable tours are based on an agreed list of horses submitted by the journalist.
4. If I was being interviewed, I'd probably just answer the questions posed. Just like I do on here.

2. Whether you like it or not, it is misleading if they're purposefully keeping the information out of the public domain. It's fine to do that, but in that instance, the people 'in the know' are using that information for their own gain. Nothing stopping them doing that, but that is misleading isn't it? Maybe another term may sit more comfortably with you? I'm not trying to cause offense.
3. Journalist should be more competent then, and if they've not asked about Gypsy Island that'd be madness? If they did ask, all I'm saying is report what was said (or not said!) "Didn't want to discuss", "made no comment" - that would be in line with other sports and isn't an unreasonable request. No need to be so clock-and-dagger about it all?
4. I think if Kemboy got inured, you'd bring it up before somebody asked you directly about how Kemboy was....but maybe you wouldn't. Disappointing if that is the case. Just like your comment about not giving a flying f*ck about punters.Last edited by Kevloaf; 24 November 2020, 02:30 PM.
