I still maintain that Finest Evermore is the best bet in this race @ 33/1. We all know you want Willie on side in this race and Finest Evermore has been completely forgotten for a number of valid, and not so valid reasons IMO.

There's little forgiveness for that run LTO, and people might (rightly for all I know) conclude that listed level found her out. I just cannot believe she gave her true running that day, I think she's much much better than that.

Aside from losing last time out, she flies under the radar IMO because she started in the summer, and Willie likes to start his best novices late.

Eglantine Du Seuil won this race @ 50/1 having started her campaign in the summer, and was beaten on her way to doing it. That was actually pretty decent form running Aramon close which is of course easy to say in hindsight, but I think the same type of under the radar profile applies to Finest Evermore.

She beat very little on hurdles debut but her jumping was genuinely superb that day, fast and very accurate. It was a very good hurdles debut off the back of absolutely hosing up in a bumper.

She then went to Listowel which was her first sight of semi decent rivals. Albeit in receipt of 5lbs, she laughed at Boodles third and now rated 132 Saint D'oroux as they turned in, sprinting clear and not even coming off the bridle. It was visually really very good, and the second that day previously ran Princess Zoe to 6L giving away 6lbs off flat off a flat rating of 93.

I think she's a great EW bet to hit the frame in what is looking a really open race.
You'll be surprised to learn we agree on something charlie

I think she's still a cracking bet for the race too. I know some think she needs further, but I don't think she is as slow as people think. As far as E/W value goes she is up there for me.

She'll be one of them that could run an absolute cracker and many will be saying 'how did we let a Mullins mare go off at that price'. I think it's the owner that keeps her price where it is, luckily for us, of course.

    She's no Shattered Love though

33's with Sky for those looking at Oddschecker and seeing no price. Nice odds if you can get on with Sky.

I reluctantly backed her and now I'm going to have another 1.5 pts on as 33/1 is tempting now that others didn't impress

I still think she'll end up best over a trip but if there's a division she'd get away with it... it'd this shite.

        • Recommendations ranging from the enthusiastic to through gritted teeth, but enough for me to join those taking the 33s. Thanks fellas.

          • I agree too. Finest Evermore and Mrs Hyde are both outstanding value in what is shaping up to be a wide open race.

It was bound to happen eventually COD

Kev's point is a good one too - others aren't impressing so it makes that price all the more tempting.

She might want further, but she's shown a good turn of foot to date and in novice races that can be quite frantic staying further when going up the hill can be an asset.

I think and hope you are spot on

              • I was battling through and entering all the RABs I have with Sky onto my Cheltenham sheet and it's surprising how many include The Glancing Queen and Queens Brook, we live in hope...

Yes, playing over 50's now and still won't get back to defend.

                      • Some of you will follow him on twitter by Rhys Williams has stuck Hook Up up as overpriced in this. Main theory is Kahala and Rosey have suitable races at home and better suited by the weights there. Trainers don't have mass runners at the festival and the horses have shown course form already.

Have said similar in past on here (obviously so have others), i'd be surprised if Royal Kahala shows up especially. JP would happily fund Rosey's trip if they wanted i'm sure.

                        • I just looked at the Mares Nov Hdl odds - Odddschecker , surprised to see Hook up at the top of the betting now @ 7-1 , 6-1 .
I guessed someone must have put her up . I backed her early doors , so just hoping to get a runner in the Race .

Makes sense.....for me, she is now the most likely winner and likely to go off fav

Can't jump....but may not be such an issue on New Course Thursday

                              • I thought upping the ante made a decent point about roseys hollow being 9 and 8lbs worse off with the second and third next time if they meet at Cheltenham
