I couldn't see it mentioned elsewhere, but in amongst all the headline novice hurdlers entered up over the coming days, Hook Up seems to have gone unnoticed in the 12.25 at Cork on Sunday over 2m.

I have officially opened this thread for the first time even though it's a race i'm not overly fond of, purely because I have done my own head in on the races I do like. Do we think Finest Evermore will end up here? I see she has a Royal Bond entry, but Willie has only had one mare run in that in the last 5 years (Airlie Beach) and she came here in the end anyway. Very similar profile. In fact why am I even asking?! Of course she does

Quite impressive that from the Glancing Queen tbf pulled all the way home and jumped like a seasoned hurdler
            into a general 12/14s

She was very good indeed, though likely didn't beat much. Wonder how she'd cope down to 2m though, as she clearly stays very well.

Yes for sure she’s only beaten yakkers but alwaYs impressive when a horse pulls through out then goes away... yes I think a fast pace would do her wonders got some handy enough bumper form

                  The Glancing Queen

                  Negative - ex-PtP
Negative - runs like a stayer
Negative - will be 7 next year
Negative - not trained by Willie

                    Positive.
                    If it wins.

                    What a singalong

Backed TGQ for the bumper a couple of years ago and she actually ran quite well. Had to have a small bit of her again this year but it wasn’t to be. Didn’t even realise she was running today but seemed impressive enough based on the replay.

Would be concerned about her over 2m though as she’s always screamed stayer to me.

Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

J - I like the look of FE too in fact I backed her for the Bumper before she won over hurdles. She has been bought by John Turner who owns Billaway and Buildmeupbuttercup, so it seens likely he would want her to go to Cheltenham if shes good enough. I

f I was starting from scratch now in this race, then FE would be in my staking plan. The problem for me is that I already have Princess Zoe and Shewearsitwell plus a few others, so if I add FE as well then I'm seriously eroding any profit from this race. For me now its a bit of a waiting game to see if PZ does go over hurdles (personally I think very unlikely) and if JP decides to send Shewearsitwell to the Supreme. For those who haven't done so yet, I would suggest you watch back FEs 2 hurdle runs, since visually she looked fairly useful.

Gran Luna is a horse we think an awful lot of but she made a terrible noise at Newbury, and to be honest did very well to win under the circumstances, so she’s been hobdayed which means she will have to have a whole month off before we can start to do anything again so unfortunately she won’t be seen until much later in the season.
