  • Despite Andy Holding putting it up it drifted! Suppose like many thought the other 2 in market were stronger! I certainly thought Castera Vetera would have been, thought she looked likely winner 80% of the way round too!

    • Impressed with Delvino there travels so strongly and looks huge for a Mare I've backed at 16s for this was trying to get her priced up to win today and the festival but Hills didn't get back to me. Also a boost to Ballyadam as well who's form is starting to look a bit stronger.

Yeah, looks like a chaser in the making, given her size. Travelled lovely through the race, and there must be something up with Bet365's in play prices as she went 66/1 & 40/1 in running, and I wondered if they were watching the same race, but this isn't the first time it has happened.

        • Serious performance, and looks to definitely be one to keep on side. My initial concerns defintely have been quashed she looked a proper horse for a shrewd trainer.

She is a big beast isn't she. I was very impressed. Did it easily against some well thought of horses. Quickened up beautifully to instantly open up 3 length margin. Incredible that she went off at 9/1 ! If she were trained by Mullins she'd have been odds on. Still unbeaten and there looks to be plenty more to come from her. I'll definitely be adding her.

            • Held back on backing Delvino after trainer said.. 'she likes the extreme conditions so no matter where she goes it will need to be soft'. Not sure that she'll be risked then on potentially a lot quicker Spring ground at the Fez. Probably one best to wait until the week/day itself.

She's not unbeaten, and i very much doubt she'd have been odds on in that field. She'd definitely have been a fair bit shorter though.

Interesting RPRs for what they are worth, have given her 127. Not too bad, but below Hook Up and Gauloise.

....she was impressive, I wonder if the fact a number of hurdles were missing because of the low sun impacted the outcome of that race or whether she’d have won anyway.

Mick Winters going all Willie Mullins on us wasting entries over 2m!

Sayce Gold should have to give a wedge of weight if she ran.

Gauloise and Hook Up are 4yo, Sayce Gold a 5yo, and she has also won a Grade 3.

4yo age allowance is 3lbs, and winning a Grade 3 is a 7lb penalty, so Hook Up and Gauloise ought to have 10lb less weight than Sayce Gold.

If he is thinking Mares Novice, he has to look at running 2 miles over hurdles at some stage. Mind you I have no idea what Winters is thinking!

                          • She must be a million to run at the weekend- i'd suggest the Grade 2 at Limerick Fury Road ran in last year will be her likeliest place to run if running over xmas.

Lovely, you’d reckon only 1 will run of the Mullins mares surely?

Then they may run against each other end of Jan in the Solerina.

I would love to see GAULOISE again.
She looked to have a real engine and Willie seemed surprised by what he saw.
