Shewearsitwell rolled up @ 29/1. I expect Mullins will have a better mare tucked away somewhere though so I am not holding my breath.

I still think the world of Gypsy Island - any updates that she's back to her best and raring to go and I'll be adding her very quickly @ 10/1

Queen's brook let me down today. I am still no nearer to deciphering the Mullins pecking order though do have a bit of a soft spot for Galouise but haven't backed her yet.
Have backed Estella Ma Belle on the back of a promising run at Chepstow 2 weekends ago but am yet to get my teeth stuck in to the race.

I do really like Gypsy Island too Charlie, just hope she is A1 after missing last year. So often they don't return as good. Fingers crossed for her.

Shewearsitwell number 1. That's all you need to know . Don't hang around for anything else. Get on now. I'm getting bored of saying it now. This is the last time.

Yes same here, cant see QB going MNH now sadly, waiting on news of Gypsy Island she could be very very good but Shewearsitwell surely has to be top of peoples lists ATM

What did people think of Panic Attack’s run at the weekend? I thought it was a much improved performance to her Huntingdon debut - looked like she certainly came on for the run.

Still available at 56.5/1 with the Hills boost. Seems too big for me.

Mullins would say add a 0 to that as no chance he's having a stable switcher beat him to his bread & butter race

She did win but really had to work hard to regather the lead after being headed. I backed her before at 50’s but like the bets I had placed Coquilot and Queens Brook was left feeling a bit deflated afterwards. It’s still early days and they are novices so she may improve but I think you need an exceptional talent to loosen the grip Willie Mullins has on this race.

Just like she’ll be battling on up the hill at Cheltenham? Ha.

I expect her to be much shorter on the day. Can she beat the Irish raiders - probably unlikely tbh - they have so many talents at their disposal but likely to be the best of the British

Copied and pasted from my diary:

It's a quiet time for me between October and Christmas, but I'm always on the lookout for a gem at tasty odds, and I added one such horse today in Santa Rossa for the Mares Novice Hurdle at 50/1 with cashout. She was 20/1 for the same race last year, but it came too soon for her because she was late starting out. Then Covid struck before she had chance to advertise her very worthy credentials.

She'll fly under the radar until she goes and wins against a Mullins/Elliott hype horse somewhere, but she's already got very useful form worth taking notice of. She comfortably beat Elliott's Bigbadandbeautiful in the Grade 2 bumper at the DRF at Leopardstown and that one highly rated by Elliott is currently half her price for this race. Just beaten in the 'boys' Grade 2 at the Aintree Festival by McFabulous, with the like of Master Debonairre behind her, she was a very useful bumper horse good enough to only be beaten by 4 lengths in the Irish Champion Bumper, also against the boys such as Abracadabras and Embittered.

She had one spin over hurdles last season before Covid struck last season beaten closely by Jon Snow (4 out of 4 in novice hurdles and rated 145 since then), and Exit Poll (just touched off by Andy Dufresne in his recent novice chase), when both had fitness and experience on their side. That rates as really useful novice hurdles form for a horse that was entitled to come on for the race after 9 months off after a minor issue.

The fact that she's a second season novice like Concertista was last season can often be really useful at Cheltenham. We've seen many such horses win over the years. Also she looks like a genuine two miler that will appreciate a fast pace. She see's her races out really well, but has gears too. She's not your typical bumper horse that is likely to need further. Her breeding also suggests the minimum trip is right for her.

Add to that her underrated trainer Dermot O'Loughlin, who I like a lot and I've no problem preparing one for the big occasion. He does exceptionally well with his small string, and has a great strike rate with his better horses.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

Yeah I think she has a couple of people interested Spectre. I've seen her name in some diaries. Decent angle for 50/1

Glad you're on board Spectre....she was highlighted by Bird's Nest on another thread a couple of weeks ago. She looks very decent for a 50-1 shot.

I knew I'd read about her somewhere, couldn't find the post (although didn't look too hard)

50/1 be gone by the morning?
