You said racing post weather a few posts ago, pick one.. I sure you will search for plenty more but I will wait until Tuesday morning before I say how much rain has fallen..

I am not GOD i predicted good to soft and soft in places a few weeks back, I was wrong shoot me....

But I have not been going around saying 20mm of rain then most likely a pre inspection like some here... sounds like your be happy if the festive will be cancelled...

          • So how much more can the course take bearing in mind it's heavy already? Surely IF they get 20mm there's a chance,

Soft & heavy in places so I am guessing heavy... but that's IF

Anyway I did not bet on the weather so do not care what it is.... if its 5mm 10mm 100mm not much we can do about it, so pointless debating what will happen in the future..

Surely talking about horses is much more interesting...

              • What a ridiculous comment! Why would I want the festival cancelled? Obviously your feelings foolish as you said that there was no chance at all of soft ground! The facts are that 20mm could fall on already heavy ground

                            • Quote from one of the RamP articles today -

Claisse added: "The heaviest ground is behind the two-mile starts, and so only affects races over two-and-a-half and four miles, but where we have the intersections of the Old and New courses - in front of the stands, at the end of the back straight, and at the bottom of the hill as they turn for home - those areas are heavy too."

I apologise if this has already been mentioned. I also take note of the previous comments on RP making the ground sound softer than it potentially actually is
