  • 3 weeks tomorrow Goosebumps starting.

Till were all at our Favourite home Woman telling us how much to bet will be out way for a week

Absolutely buzzing. 3 weeks today is unquestionably the longest day of the entire year for me, but equally one of the most exciting. If any of you get in early Cheltenham is a great place to spend the Monday as you can literally feel the anticipation grow in the town throughout the course of the day.

Travelling Monday morning myself. Meeting Ruby Walsh for walk around the course at 2pm (my mate won the RUK comp) and then at the racing Tuesday. Buzzzzzzzzing

Does Cheltenham being so soon affect how you bet on random daily meetings at all?

Yes. I only usually bet at the weekend during the NH season (around 30 pts a weekend) ... the next 3 I don't have more than about 6 pts on the action ... however a lot will go on to the festival

Cheltenham is the most thing we all save up while the Flat season takes over in the summer

For a while now I have curbed my day to day betting to concentrate more on the big festivals, whether that be on the flat or NH, though I much prefer NH racing and indeed this festival.

Ante post is still relatively tough IMO, but you make of it what you can, I still get on plenty, have more lows than highs leading up to the festival as many seem to get pulled or injured, or worse still, but once NRNB comes into play I become more active again, though I also have plenty on AP currently too!

I follow pretty much all of the NH racing when I can, so keep up to date and watch all that is available, so in my own mind I know what I am looking for come the festival.

This season I have also concentrated more on the exchange markets too after doing well last year, and almost find myself backing more than 2 or 3 in a race, but a lot of them are looking good right now, so we shall see how that ends up at the end of the festival.

I try not to bet randomly anymore, whilst I used to pick up the odd nice win generally it ended down, although I have also seen a couple of accounts close probably due to me not doing what I would call 'mug bets'.

A late twist means I’m moving house/moving in with the other half on the Thursday of the festival.

Going to be some unbelievable moving in arguments when I sit down every half an hour to watch the racing

361 days every year is too long to wait and the last 3 weeks is a killer... all I keep thinking is when will they say a few of my ones have been pulled out.. bit like thistlecrack last year. he was my biggest bet last year 30pts at 7/1 went up in smoke all because they ran him in a stupid prep race..

Monday before Cheltenham is without doubt the worst day of the year, challenged only by the Monday after Superbowl for me....
