Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I'd take them all with a pinch of salt tbh. We've had an unusually dry autumn/early winter in Ireland I'd imagine a lot of the talked up horses have only been out on grass recently.

              How come? Ground?

He's definitely said it's the plan this year as he is much more straightforward?

Lots of different divisions though somer...

A bumper horse, a novice chaser, his novice hurdlers...

The fact is he's dominant in every division, and to defend Willie, it is't like he's calling the press to tell them anything, he gets media approaching him and wanting these sound bites...

Always pays to be cautious but I wouldn't place any blame with him.

Nicky's worse than most at messing around with his big guns.
I just think he'll pull it if the ground is on the soft side. which is likely
The why give it a hard race against other soft ground stayers etc.
Although in this case I'd agree with him and leave him a bit fresher for king george.
But I hope he does run.

                  • Yes can't deny the King George is a much more important race.

Perhaps I'm a little gullable but because I think the KG is Might Bite's to lose (would fancy him against ANY horse) then they might as well get him primed to run a big one at Haydock, and then be in the lap of the Gods for the Gold CUp and the bonus.

Winning the triple crown, when Ireland (Mullins/Elliott) are so damn dominant would be an incredible feat still... in the history books - and for me Hendo has his eyes on those history books, certainly isn't all about the money?

Wasn't aware of that connection, but it actually makes me more confident than before.... If they can get him right for Haydock, he has SUCH an advantage at Kempton, he's the only possible horse I can see doing that double.... No way BDM or NR are winning the KG

                        • I was very impressed with both Lostintranslation and La Bague Au Roi jumping there. Very good battle between the two. Was evident inbetween fences that LBAR has some serious flat speed, constantly gaining ground on the outside and pulled away nicely after the last.

                          • A really good race that.

Lostintranslation lost nothing in defeat, he tanked around for the most part and was keen, but the pair of them jumping was brilliant IMO.

I could see the result reversed IF Lostintranslation could settle better in future. However if he wants to travel the way he did then the JLT may be the best option, as 2f shorter than today's trip.

                            • Was a very good race but LBAR always looked in control For me. Both nice types though.

                              • Obviously a bit early to be thinking about the Pertemps in March but I'm going to keep my eye on Moon Racer after today at Newbury.
Stepped up to 3 miles for the first time he came a creditable 3rd so now qualified - I think he needed the run so hopefully they can keep him sound and also protect his mark which was still 6lbs below his rating when in the CH a few years ago.
