A few have mentioned Blackbow for the Supreme on here already and tonight I have taken the plunge. Same sire as Champagne Fever a positive, not usually a fan of the festivals previous bumper runners but feel vibes were strong enough on him prior to it and will likely be better for a hurdle too.

I agree ComplyOrDie, from the Bumper last March the 2 I took out of it are Blackbow and Felix Desjy.
Both travelled like good horses but didn't quite get home as too keen early doors.
However with some more experience and some hurdles in front of them both, I expect both to improve and stay at 2m so I've backed both of them for the Supreme.

I'm looking forward to seeing when Envoi Allen comes out, taken on by Gordon Elliot following his impressive ptp win, he was highly recommended by Colin Bowe (who also had Samcro prior to Elliot).
I would like to see him come out and attack the 2m division, but its a guessing game at the moment. 14/1 Any Race for a horse who hasn't been seen on track is a little ridiculous, I was expected bigger than 20's.
Has anyone had any information on Envoi Allen and potential routes?

Was looking last night the following are horses to win at the festival having ran in the bumper since 2010.
2010 - Cue Card (1), Al Ferof (2)
2011 - Cinders and Ashes (5)
2012 - Champagne Fever (1), The New One (6), Jezki (8)
2014 - Black Hercules (4), Kilultagh Vic (6)
2015 - Supasundae (6)
Not exactly a great strike rate.Last edited by Folski; 10 October 2018, 10:03 AM.

Plenty of good horses come from the race but haven't (yet) gone onto winning at the festival, though I always think stayers are more likely to come from the race

Your point about stayers is interesting as none of the winners won over 2m5f at the Festival.

Reason I checked was I remember Champagne Fever's bumper and down the field there was Many Clouds who of course proved himself as one of the best stayers of modern times, and found TNO.
Jezki came from that race too and although winning a Champion hurdle he proved his stamina in winning the top 3m race at Punchestown later in life

I still think the 2017 race will show itself to be a decent renewal, not helped by the sad death of the winner of course but I still think the likes of Next Destination, Claimantakingforgan and Western Ryder will prove themselves to be good animals.
