Hello Fat Jockeys,

One thing I'll be doing this year is following all Getaway progeny. I'll be backing all of them and maybe clubbing together some in multiples. For small money like but I think it may pay alright. I really like his progeny and I'm sure people have probably looked at it already but it may be interesting to follow. They seem all to be pretty genuine, good travellers and have a turn of foot. Ground doesn't seem a huge problem for them all either in general and I'll be doing on the day backing of all progeny, though siding more with the bigger prices each way (if these are available).
I can see all these possibly going the festival:
Verdana Blue
Getaway Trump
Getabird (probably needs to go right handed mind)
Downtown Getaway
Talkischeap
I can't explain
Getareason
Hear no evil
Getaway Katie Mai
Lust for Glory
Rathhill (probably won't mind as still a baby in Tolworth)
Jarveys Plate
Just a few to keep in mind for handicaps as well as graded novices and such like.

He hasn't had any previous winners at the festival but his stock have only come into the UK jumps scene in the past couple of years really with a huge amount now coming through this season from what I can tell. Not a huge amount of information to go on but I do enjoy following his progeny and they seem pretty useful too. It's just an idea of mine anyway as always keep an eye out for any of his newcomers and have been impressed with a great deal this season.

Yes, it does look a nice crop for him for this years festival.
Do any bookies price up top sires?
Might be worth it's own thread where people can discuss the sires actually, I know a few on here are quite knowledgeable on the subject, JM and CoD spring to mind.

Have cashed out more than a dozen horses, and still have the vast majority of these with Bet365 so can hopefully do the same where I have multiple positions. Have desperately tried not to get caught up in the hype horses with absolutely no form this time around... Annamix the only time I've really done so.
I've only been hit by 3 non runners I couldn't cash out, but they were all decent bets so Master Dino, Draconien, Next Destination all cost me a few quid. Sounds like Gilgamboa will follow suit but can't cash this one out either unfortunately.
Going to wait for NRNB all round to get stuck into the rest of the handicaps.

I don't mind the lack of professionalism, as you say they focus mainly on the actual races, whereas i find a lot of the bigger pods ie, FFP, due to Emmet, go off on a tangent most of the time.
Couldn't agree more on the Matchbook comments, EK is hard to take + they've massively upgraded it.
