Backed him 'any race' but any thoughts on his potential target? Given he has 2 entries at around 2 1/2 miles I'm going to say it won't be anything over 2m for the festival!

Willie recently emphasised that he's more concerned about running a horse first time out on the right day and track rather than the distance. Said it had no bearing on future targets.

Yeah, and something I have put up about Willie in some arguments for some of his horses, most notably, the 'better' ones, as I don't think it does matter an awful lot.

Knowing that he said that, and worse still agreeing with hmi, I'm not really sure why I questioned the trip for the festival as of yet, typically me talking tosh and not thinking about it beforehand
