    Scooby,
Would you not see "the storyteller" going down the hurdle route at the fez? he's 142 over hurdles

Do novices have a good record in the Ultima? The bottom two I'm expecting go elsewhere.

What reason had been given for Gold present being a NR today?

        Kev,
GP, going for the Nash is my view. I'd love to see him here though.

Bruised foot. Had drifted slightly for this too, was backable at around 15.5 but back in again to 12.5 over the last 24 hours. May not mean much but Im staying positive anyway!!

Not at all. His chasing technique is superb imo.

Yanworth going to get an entry for this. Interesting off a mark of 149

Just saw Kings interview, very interesting if Yanworth comes here! Up in trip, running in a race which has been won, recently, by classier horses

I'd be shocked if his jumping held together in this, they go 10f pace for the first mile putting massive pressure on jumping.
Keep an eye out though for any info about schooling sessions, in the past he has taken novices and dubious jumpers to a local PTP course which is said to have the toughest fences on the circuit.
He did this with Bensalem who went on to win the race....

                    • At 8/1 NRNB Yanworth incredibly easy to look past though....

The JP angle alone would see to him being shorter than he should be in a handicap. Has NO business being single figure prices.

In the hussle and bustle of this race, that is usually run at a strong gallop, he'd lose way too much time at his fences on what we'd seen so far? Would need a pretty masterful ride?

He'll be taken WIDE by Barry that is 1/10 shot

                      • I reckon the ultima would be the hardest of the three for Yanworth to win, give him a good chance in the other two

Would probably be the easiest imo. Due to the gallop they go in the average Ultima compared to the rsa. However you only have your novice status once and fully expect it will be the rsa. I'd be shocked if stayers. Would be completely useless in employing yogi breisner whos been jumping poles with him.

Depends what Breisner makes of him I suppose. Sure he wouldn’t be averse to telling them he doesn’t think he’s going to ever be a natural over fences.

I can’t agree the Ultima would be easier than the RSA for a Novice myself. Especially a novice who doesn’t jump particularly well.

                            • Would love it if they go for this with Yanworth but surely goes RSA if staying chasing

King has history in this race. Bensalem probably should have won in his novice year before finally doing it a year later.
