Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Don't let me put you off Ryan. The Bumper is my least favourite race of the festival so I'm biased.

Haha, I can assure you FM would be a better guide than me ryan

IMO the bumper would be one of the races I had the least amount on compared to other races... it is going to be a big field, and loads of chances...loads of whispers.... etc

I'd consider his price at 7/1 to other 7/1 shots I could find and see what I thought was a better bet...

            • Somehow I’ve never had more than 2 horses in the bumper and never failed to turn a profit since I first started in Champagne Fevers year

So clearly everyone needs to stick with me and believe blindly in Hollowgraphic

                • Fair effort that HF.

The bumper used to be easy, just wander from bar to bar and listen to the Irish talking, all changed since the Brits stated taking the race seriously.

As people on this thread will have seen, im a huge fan of the horse.

Think he’s still a value bet even at his current price.

                    • I found it interesting that Robbie Mc said that Good Boy Bobby was the standout bumper horse he'd seen this year. I probably shouldn't, but I do pay more attention when an Irish judge rates an English horse, and with it being bumpers I thought it was even more interesting, as being as well connected as he is, you'd assume he'd hear plenty of whispers about all the horses in Ireland that have performed well...

A friend of mine said Good Boy Bobby's latest win was the best numper performance he'd said in years, but he's quite hit and miss so I try and not get too involved but listening to the FFP today I've had a little look back again ....

His first win, I thought STD had just found the best ground, and West To The Bridge who looked the main danger 3f out has been soundly beaten by Didtheyleaveuouttu and the fav that day has also been beaten since....(Sunset Showdown)... the 2nd has also been beaten since).... all in all, quite easy to pick holes in how strong that race was...

However, 2nd run ... he's taken a massive step forward visually... and the form hasn't really been tested, but 2 have run since, one PU and the other came 10/12 .... and the only horse GOING IN to that race that had one, apart from GBB was Mount Rushmore, who didn't beat anything of note in his bumper win before moving to Tizzard...

I'm not convinced at all that we should be getting excited by that performance in heavy ground. I started this post wanting to back him and I've put myself right off!

Yeah, they do at 150... I'd expect that ratings going in to the Cheltenham bumper and ratings horses get coming out of it don't always match up though?

I agree, he's not for me either. Hollowgraphic is still the one IMO, his narrow bumper 2nd at Punchestown in April last year for me is the most solid form going in to this season and he's done nothing to suggest it isn't albeit only had the one run this season, but won as he liked and the 2nd and 3rd have both come out and won since. Not looking elsewhere for this race yet and just hope Hollowgraphic makes it to the festival sound.

                            • Gallant John Joe runs tomorrow at Naas

Came 4th in the goffs bumper Hollowgraphic came second in, hasn’t raced since so could be another form boost, not entered in the Cheltenham race so purely for form boosting

                              • A small boost for Didtheyleaveuoutto today on the all-weather at Lingfield as Ceara Be, who finished 2nd behind Didtheyleaveuoutto LTO went and won comfortably from the front.
