        • I see cheveley park bought redicean back the other day, looks like there getting serious about investing in the end market of NHR..Got one with Willie for next year too..Must be a confident pointer for the triumph though.

Indeed. See they purchased Envoi Allen from Colin Bowe who looked a superstar in his P2P.

              Was he the 400k+ one?

The Racing Post bloodstock podcast mentions a few of them... with Tom Malone. Was an entertaining and interesting listen IMHO

              • The third coming, envoi Allen..Don't know how much that 400k was spent on the back of what's happened with Samcro though.

Yeh that’s him. There’s a video on YouTube of his point win where he does look pretty special. Agree re: the podcast, a very informative listen.

Is it worth listening to? I've listened to a couple of bloodstock podcasts in the past and it was like pulling teeth.

Yes, very different format to the others (notably the Derby/Oaks ones)...

Excellent. Cheers Kev, I'll give it a listen

                        • I know a lot of people do not rate the horse and speed of races/ opponents faced throughout the year haven’t been great but I do really like Apple Shakira. My thoughts might be based by my winning on defi last year but wins at Cheltenham already may prove she is used to the Hill (I hope she is) and getting the 7lbs will be a big factor. Maybe it’s the pre Cheltenham drinks talking tonight but it will be a good week if she bolts up

                          • There was a stat on a podcast today (Only Balls and Horses maybe)?

The top 5 in the market for the Triumph have all only been to one track each... (I actually make it 6 before We have a Dream)

                            Apple's Shakira - Cheltenham (3 runs)
                            Redicean - Kempton (3 runs)
                            Farclas - Leopardstown (2 runs)
Mr Adjudicator - Leopardstown (2 runs)
Stormy Ireland - Fairyhourse (1 run)
                            Saldier - Gowran (1 run)

We Have A Dream - Warwick, Doncaster, Sandown, Chepstow, Musselburgh (5 runs, 5 tracks)

...... not looked at previous years, but the two positives I'd take would be the Henderson pair..... Apple's has the Cheltenham form in the book.... and We Have A Dream has proven he's quite versitile and able to travel?

It isn't going to affect my bets at all, but was mildly interesting I thought

I like her as well TC, but I read a stat on Narrowing the Field that has me a little worried:
“Only 1 of 37 females who have attempted it have won the Triumph”

                              Let’s hope she’s a trend buster!

That is a bit strange. I’d rather have the experience at Cheltenham though than for example Kempton.
