At the moment i just feel Shakira wont run here and Espoir will end up being Fav.
If you think that, have you considered backing

Apple's Shakira Mares Novice / Espoir D'allen Triumph double

    without the NRNB? 53/1 ....

    • SDG winning today should put him shorter than WHAD?
I don't think it will though

      • Actually have a lucky 15

        Claimantakin (supreme)
        Might Bite
        Espoir (triumph)
        Shakira (mares novice)

        2187/1

I would add Benie des diuex but have too many multiples with her already haha xD

        • What would Benie Des Diuex's most likely target be ?

          • She has run over 2m3f & 2m4f... could only see Ryanair if she stays at that distance. Would love to see her step up in trip and against the boys. If she could get 3miles well and beat the boys id be all over her for the Gold Cup. Her jumping is impecable...

Or the mares hurdle over the same distance.

I wouldn't have considered that as she looks brilliant over a fence... but so did VVM

              • Very true... have very similar profile to VVM bought from france banged straight over fences wina every race then revert back to hurdles and win at the festival...

She just looked so impressive that id be heartbroken if sent over hurdles to the mares...

That is how I felt about VVM .... that worked out well though I suppose. Although when they switched VVM, it was because Faugheen was out and Annie got re-routed... and ther ewasn't an Apple's Jade heading the market.... so I've got more hope this time that she'll take her chance.

Actually, she came over to UK didn't she... Carlisle, OR 142. Would she get an entry in the Brown Plate perhaps?

                  • Yeah i guess, but they are not looking too strong again with all their injuries... would very much depend on her next run...

As she definitelt would need on to win a big race... however if she can get into a handicap off 142... she will Lap them xD

                    • The Highclere Thoroughbred-owned Newbury winner Style De Garde can still be backed at 25-1, but that will change if he can beat the top-rated Gumball, also a 25-1 chance and in the hands of Philip Hobbs, whose three Triumph winners include last year's standout juvenile Defi Du Seuil.

Henderson said:*"I like the way he did it at Newbury and it was quite soft ground that day. He won one in France before that but he has got to step in company."

Hobbs hopes we will see a better Gumball than the one who was beaten pointless by Apple's Shakira at Cheltenham.

"I think Gumball might be suited by the flatter track. His jumping was very good when he won at Stratford, but he wasn't so clever at either Chepstow or Cheltenham. I think he's better than he looked at Cheltenham," he said.*

Gumball seemed to be a better horse today that SDG ... but couldn't fancy either now.

Not sure it franks the Apple's Shakira form AT ALL ....... BUT, I can't have the winner being a serious contender?

                            • Very disappointing. Gumball not done a great deal for the AS form either.

More questions than answers after that.

If anything this has boosted WHAD & Sussex Ranger form...

Esprit de Smoza 23 lengths behind Ranger at Sandown... Apples shakira form worth nothing if we go by this race....
