He's my biggest winner. And he's the likely winner no doubt. I wasn't knocking just stating a fact that he hasn't faced the main horses. And the horses behind won't be getting near the supreme in my humble opinion.

I haven't even got a lot on him but I am happy with 5/1 for this, I agree he hasn't beaten the best YET, but I did post sometime back that Samcro & Getabird will not take each other on this year and IMO they are the best two novices around by some distant, so if Samcro goes here then getabird goes to the supreme or the other way round.

But can not wait until they do take each other on. but I would be backing Samcro

          • If he handles quicker ground it looks like game over, wherever the horse goes.

How many will bother turning up?

It makes Henderson's decision to give On The Blind Side the one option look a big mistake.

I had a feeling this might happen.....

Knocked Samcro all season and turns out to be your biggest winner.

Look at the start of the thread iv always stated my bets on him. 14s any race 16s ballymore. He was my 1st bet. If the cap fits was my 2nd for this race. As per the start of this thread and the antepost bets thread. Had plentry on. once he won and shortened right up i looked elsewhere as I do in any other race.

                14s any race 22nd August 2017 08.52 with PP

                  • Getabird will go wherever Samcro doesn't

                    • ‘Coming here id have said we’d be going Ballymore, but the way he’s done that I’d say we could be going for any race. We’re lucky to have him’

                      Champion hurdle?!

                      • Gordon said they'll keep him to novices but didn't rule out the supreme.

Odds on too go Ballymore but wouldn't worry me if they went Supreme.

                        • Elliott was desperately trying to keep a lid on it but your could see his grin beaming out. Have to say I've never really been in doubt about him going for the Ballymore but the interview after from Elliott would have me slightly concerned about the Supreme now - my single bets are almost all Any Race but I do have some nice multiples for the Ballymore.

Note O'Leary and Kennedy both said the Ballymore. On the CH - He did then go onto say they would keep him to his own company as he is a baby.

                          • Have a lovely 100/1 on Samcro Supreme Getabird Ballymore, but would still say when the dust settles it’ll be 80% likely he’ll go Ballymore

                            • Going to the Supreme would be the only thing stopping Samcro winning this race...

I imagine it was FM highlighting the "Any Race" market from early on, so happy to have followed you in - A pain free season of watching talk about the trip haha. I think he'd go Supreme if it was soft ground possibly but nice to not care

I'm quite surprised I haven't got a Getabird/Samcro double. That sounds like a bet I would have done

                              • Ballymore would make sense if they are planning the RSA 2019 and then Gold Cup 2020, the bookies wasn't giving it away for Samcro too win both the next few years.
