I'm quite sweet on Willoughby Court though, so if he does get beaten I'll be disappointed.

His way of going, he gives 100% every time. Hopefully that is also the case in the JLT, and he's not left his race behind at any stage of the season.
With Yanworth in receipt of 5lbs off Willoughby Court on soft ground id fancy him to reverse the previous result personally. Off level weights id go for WC.

I honestly think yanworth will turn Willoughby court over tomorrow 2m5 heavy ground with a fair run in.
      I'd be confident of it.
Ofcourse he needs to jump. If I can get some 11/4 3/1 I'd be all over it. 5/2 may tempt me.

What ever happens tomorrow it's unlikely to resemble the jlt in march. So i wouldnt be going in on the winner at revised prices for the jlt.

Yes, I actually would back Willoughby Court for the JLT again tomorrow if he gets beaten (and the price is right)

I really can't see the winner of the jlt with any confidence at all. I probably have the winner. I hope so anyway. But no idea which one.

          Yanworth 10/1
          Willoughby court 16/1
          Death duty 20/1
          Tombstone 143.0
          Capitaine 214.0
          Sceau royal 93.0
          Monalee 65.0
          Alboum photo 120.0
          Sutton place 20/1

          Footpad any race 16s
Petit mouchoir any race 12s 10s
          Finians Oscar any race 8/1

Modus 20/1 cashed out at full value for now.

I cashed out my Yanworth 10s as 14s now about

WIllougby Court and Death Duty have been my biggest stakes for this since they were 16s.

Still hoping to work out Ruby's ride

Chacun Pour Soi is quiet and Bamako. Hoping Al Boum goes RSA

            • Bamako Moriviere would be my choice but apparently had a setback after Cork and hoping to be back in the spring. I want Yanworth in the RSA so hoping Willoughby Court turns him over again tomorrow, don’t fancy that happening though

              • Pauling said: "He is A1 since his win at Newbury. He obviously handles the ground and we know that should not be a concern. He is very healthy and I am happy with him.

"He has got to give weight away all round, but we are prepared for that. He is in great form and we are expecting him to run well once again."

He added: "I would have loved to have gone and looked at the Feltham (at Kempton on Boxing Day) but, after it did not
quite work out at Huntingdon for various reasons, I did not want to go back right-handed just yet and the Dipper looked the obvious choice.

"Although I am sure if we'd gone to Kempton everything would be fine, if it wasn't, you would be annoyed with yourself.

"This could be his last run before the Festival. We will have to see because it is all match practice, but if he comes through this with flying colours, he might not be seen again until March."

Does that not worry anyone a little bit ??? Really strange to me how he said that.

                • Really happy to see Ballyandy back tomorrow after his small setback.

Tough ask to win but he won't go down without a fight...

Puts a slight doubt in there, though it could just be a case that tomorrow he is running under a penalty giving weight to the rest of the field where as at Kempton it would have been off levels - which would have been more appealing? Pauling had brought up the Kempton race at the same time as mentioning there being no need to step up from 2m4 in previous quotes so i'd still not be overly concerned myself.

                    • It sounds to me as if it’s a case of win the Dipper and then straight to he JLT. However, don’t win the Dipper and maybe forced to fit in another race over 3m to see if he’d be likely to have a better chance in RSA. I would highly doubt they’d ask WC to make his 3m debut in the RSA.

I do like Bamako moriviere was deffinately on an upward curve, form worked out well. I assumed that with him being entered and missing targets but confirmed by Joe chambers. I'd have liked to see him get another run in though if he did make it, to keep the momentum going. Hope he makes it anyway as certainly an interesting candidate.

                        • Sutton Place should prove hard to beat tomorrow. We run Kemboy against him and hope for a decent run. He was the first Irish horse home in the Neptune so the trip should be just right.

Good luck tomorrow. Tough task with the ground in Sutton Place's favour.

PP have Al Boum Photo as the shortest MUllins horse for the race.... 16/1. 25/1 is available. Tempted to get this in to my book. At the moment only 3 figures for RSA but that doesn't look like its the plan now.

Was going to hack up when falling last time out, with Tombstone well beaten and TOmbstone is alright...
and on chase debut beat Tycoon Prince by 7L, who won over Christmas beating Bunk Off Early who is a decent horse over hurdles... I think he's slightly under the radar because of the silks, as stupid as that is... and if this ends up being the Ruby/Mullins horse then it won't be anywhere near 25/1...

                            • Bunk Off Early had a real good blow after that race.

That went according to the script. Bookies not pushed WC out much (now 7s) ....

Yanworth wouldn't be a factor in MArch for me despite winning unless it was heavy ground. Jumps too slowly to win a festival race IMO.... would have a better chance in the RSA than here.
