Only quoted by Sky at 16/1 for the Arkle.

Hope Footpad beats him and sends him back up in trip as DD Arkle is very left field and doesn't help my book at all haha

Paddy from 8/1 to 3/1 a few days ago made me think that was the case

Was 180.0 yesterday, was tempted but turned it down knowing he was likely to run against footpad. I can't see him staying at 2 even if he won. But I'll be a little nervous if he does win.

Perhaps depend on PM's comeback ... but much easier to hope he gets beaten and steps back up.

Is this the reason he hasn't gone to Kempton to ride whisper?

            • You'd have to think alboum photo would have won nicely there.
He's a contender for this and the rsa in my eyes. Especially after death duty being made a fool out of over 2 there.

              • If Sutton place comes out and wins well, (he finds plenty of the bridle)
. I could see him going fav for this race. Hope he gets declared and does the business.

                • Sutton place taken out due to the ground. Would be a worry for Cheltenham backers

More likely to hold off fences this season now? Hold on to novice status? Debut over fences in 2018 would be late and stayers wide open

It's all possible. I dont know the answer to be honest

Hopefully we see him. I couldn't see a reason why he was declared a late non runner at Leopardstown but I presume the ground (Yielding)? Which would be a concern backing him for the Spring.

Looks like we will be getting the Willoughby Court vs Yanworth rematch at Cheltenham in The Dipper on New Years day. I'm surprised Alan King isn't trying the horse over 3 miles over fences next and instead gone for the intermediate trip again but it may just be a case that this race comes at the right time and then they look to target either the Towton Novices chase at Wetherby or the Reynoldstown at Ascot in February both other 3miles as based on what we have seen so far with his jumping and the fall, he could do with plenty more experience and race practice before March.

Not really on my shortlist but Ballyandy could well join them as a bit of a forgotten horse not being seen since September. Ami Desbois will run though after winning a couple of novice chases at Wetherby so far. He has to step up but he ran a decent race in the Albert Bartlett (5th), came second in a grade 2 hurdle at the track, 3rd in the Challow and I know the owners are bullish on how far this horse may progress

                          • If the Festival going is as per normal I can't see Sutton Place turning up but he is a notable candidate for NRNB.

                            • What is the ground likely to be? If it's soft is Yanworth going to be a bet?

I'm quite sweet on Willoughby Court though, so if he does get beaten I'll be disappointed.

His way of going, he gives 100% every time. Hopefully that is also the case in the JLT, and he's not left his race behind at any stage of the season.

                              • Me too Kev, hoping for a big show from Willoughby Court, think he's the one to beat in the JLT at this still early stage.
