What price the storyteller for this if he wins?
If backed him 1pt today. But I'm not 100% on the trip to get the quick price after the race. Neither do I know if his mark would be over 145 for a win. Taking in to account phil smith could add a few pounds on top. Im edging jlt as it looks weak at this stage and gordon unfortunately lost death duty from the race. All depends if he does the business. And will invitation only be able to continue to show his upturn in form over the larger obstacles.
***********
It will be over 145

Game performance by invitation only. The storyteller missed one when it mattered id be very interested in his mark now. Although he may get another run.

CCM - as an RSA backer for IO, how do you feel about that run? I think they could 'avoid' Monalee in the RSA and without Death Duty this race looks more winnable now?

I was surprised Russell got so active on him after that mistake.... unless it was a very clever ride..... I thought he jumped better than IO at most of the fences!

I'm a little worried
I think that on spring ground they might have a bit too much toe for him Kev. He looks absolutely made for the RSA to my eyes and loved the way he responded at the end and cleared away again. Suppose they could be tempted by the JLT but I think the yard have a few options for that and not too many for the RSA. Still very hopeful we are on the right race mate!

I still have him in mind wherever he goes I just really like him tbh. He jumps very well on a whole and makes ground at his fences then still restrained. I'd like to see him go on from the front over the intermediate trip and make use if his jumping tbh. Whether that's been a plan or not for the future I'm not sure.

Fingers crossed for sure. Hopefully Al Boum Photo stays sound

Yeah I'm with you on that. I haven't backed him at all yet but I haven't forgotten how much Elliott thought of him ppee Cheltenham last year. Definitely not a handicapper in my opinion and jumped well. If he did end up in a handicap I'd be delighted though
"He's got buckets of scope and he's a real galloping jumper," said the winning rider.
"I was very impressed with him. He quickened up off the bend and did everything right.
"I was just keeping him alive down to the last and make sure he didn't stall on. You seen with the horse in the last race when you back off the last it can catch them out in this ground.
"I knew they were hot on my tail. I thought there was plenty left at the line and he's one to look forward to.
"We went a good gallop and he has a lot of ability jumping wise, he has buckets of scope but he's well able to pop and is good and clever.
"I couldn't believe at the third last where he came from. He was as far out at the other side and he's got it all really.
"He had to go in a pop one or two, was a bit low at one or two, and got better as he went on."
