Yanworth wouldn't be a factor in MArch for me despite winning unless it was heavy ground. Jumps too slowly to win a festival race IMO.... would have a better chance in the RSA than here.
He's a much more talented horse than Willoughby court you must admit that. His engine gives him a chance in any race.

If talent just means the engine then yeah. engine is good enough and makes him better than WC.

As a whole package though his jumping isn't at the moment. I prefer WC's attitude and jumping technique...

      • I couldn't back Yanworth at the festival with free bets! Just doesn't jump fluently enough for me to stake any money on it. Fair enough he got the job done today but take 5lbs off of WC in March and bar the bad mistake/hopefully better ground he would have been at least on terms I think today :/ Could come back to bite me in the a**e though but I wont be covering Yanworth

          • Yanworth has disappointed at the last 2 festivals being favourite for Neptune and then Champ Hurdleand I can't have him at Cheltenham either.
Willoughby Court on better ground should be better but wonder if something will come out the woodwork

            • Would still be interested in Death Duty if Elliott puts him out again over the right distance.

No danger of that not happening. JLT a certainty surely. If he was a 3 miler they wouldn't have tried him over 2m1. GOt out placed in that.... JLT the only option and I think he's got a cracking chance.

                • WC giving 5lb thought was a decent effort ,Yanworth i feel lacks clinical jumping to hold his position at 2.5 mile at festival and Geraghty might get caught out going wide all the way around at festival at this trip. screams 3 miler to me.

Totally agree. Also, the King factor, doesn't win races at the festival apart from Mc Coy stealing a race for him.

I think the only thing that'll come out of the woodwork is that w.court made a mistake , but rallied well on heavy ground to make 3rd.

                      • Tactics on Willoughby Court questionable today, although understandable they want to test his flexibility sometime before Cheltenham.

better ground March and WC stills wins for me. That 1 error today cost it.

GE said he's a horse for the future after today's race. It wouldn't surprise me if the skipped Cheltenham this year.
