    • Footpad drifting which looks something more than a market correction. That is against the predicted softer surface which would be more in his favour than both Petit Mouchoir and Sceau Royal. My guess would be that there has been some sort of problem which has been kept quiet but those that know are moving the market.

However, Anthony Bromley, racing manager for owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, said there had no been change of heart and that the horse was in fine shape .

"Absolutely nothing has changed," Bromley told Press Association Sport.

"I've spoken to Willie today. The horse exercised today. He's absolutely fine, no problems with the horse. There's no reason to change from the original plan all winter which has been the Arkle.

"People are obviously having a non-runner no bet, so they get their money back. He's obviously longer odds in the JLT.

"As of today there are no issues with the horse. We've got 10 days to the Arkle.

"The final decision will be made next weekend but there's no change of plan and we don't understand why (he has drifted in the Arkle). It's probably not much money that's changed it anyway.

"I've checked with Willie. There are no issues. It's all systems go and we are going for the Arkle."

That hopefully puts a line through that 'topic'.

              • All fun and games...I'm considering having a Jonthehammer injured Mullins horse treble: Footpad (Arkle), Hollowgraphic (Bumper) and Stormy Ireland (Triumph) 165/1....only playing Jon

Do you get the stable staff bonus if you land the treble? apprently they're underpaid

Not finished just yet I think “final decision will be made next weekend” a small concern for backers?

Not for myself. As long as he makes it to chelt the Any race market does the job.

All but certain he goes arkle however.

                            • I think that the prevailing going will make any decision that hasn't already been made easy. He goes to the Arkle. 2M on soft/ heavy is perfect . It will stretch the stamina of those needing better going.
