  • Will mostly run

    Footpad

    without market

    Petit Mouchoir 15/8 too short
    Saint Calvados 11/4 too short
    Sceau Royal 10/3 too short

    so that leaves

    Brain Power 13/2
    North Hill Harvey 14/1
    Montalbano 18/1

The only real value in my eyes is Brain Power e/w 4 places but he will need to stay on his legs..

My biggest potential win of the festival, Footpad the obvious big danger, being the current fav, but have him covered too.

        • Is something wrong with Footpad? Big shake up to the betting with PP.

I think this was hinted at on here last week, nothing came of it, up to now!

I'm probably over playing the Cheltenham form for North Hill Harvey... but his form figures are -

                  191011 4 wins from 6 starts.

The 9th was in Altior's Supreme and the 0(16th) was in the County Hurdle...

Probably shows he is decent but not ferstival class.
I did consider him in the without market but decided against it

                  • I might be wrong Kev, but I think they are considering the Grand Annual for NHH.

Sorry RC. If could have worked out how to delete my posts, I would have.

Now that would definitely tweak my interest!

Will look in to that now.

                            • Suddenly Whittington expressing worries about the ground for Saint Calvados. Presumably, these are the same concerns everyone else had several weeks ago. Has he just caught up? Given the current weather it seems unlikely the ground will be an issue for any soft ground lovers.

Probably just wanting to play down some of the hype to take the pressure off. Being given a positive mention everywhere you look with the caveat of "can he do it on the better ground"

On a podcast today they spoke about his breeding and the positives you could take about winning on good... no-one wants to crab him in the media from what I can see!

Horse has become 3rd fav from incredibly far left field.
