Henry de Bromhead: "Petit Mouchoir seems good, really fresh and well since the run and I'm delighted with him. I thought he ran really well and I think he'll come on from the run.
"He seemed very fresh before the race and then those couple of mistakes early on were unlike him. He was just so bullish to be back.
"Hopefully he'll improve. He's in both the Arkle and the JLT at Cheltenham. I presume he'll run in the Arkle, but nothing is confirmed as yet."
Interesting!
I'd prefer the switch. I can't see him beating footpad in the arkle. I think they'll most likely probably go arkle. But deffinately Good to see it's a consideration,
if they want to WIN, the longer race would be the way to go. And as we've seen with AJ, it's all about the win.

9/1 NRNB for the JLT is probably quite fair because he wouldn't go off that price! Half it probably.

This will be the worst result for me!
I actually think PM will have Footpad backers worried, personally, and they'd be happy to see him re-routed.

Still unlikely IMO but considering how keen you are, you should take 9/1 NRNB JLT? In the JLT he wouldn't have Footpad to beat.... would be more winnable really?

TBF, Footpad winning the Arkle is not the worst result of the festival for me, and I have enough on PM that I won't be putting any more money on him now, for any race, until possibly the day, IF he does go for the JLT.

Far more winnable imo.

I think it's also far more winnable for Footpad and even someone like Sceau Royal, but no word of them going for it
It's not though. They're the ones PM has to beat . Not the other way round. SR is an out and out 2 miler he is not entered. PM is a former ptp horse. And they can see footpad right there as fav infront of him.

Owners the big difference there though.... I'd back it as its risk free and no way he'd be 9/1 on the day? No way he'd be a bigger price than he is for the Arkle that is for sure?
DEpends how much you want to "tie-up" as it is still unlikely.
